The Steam Deck 2 I think will come eventually. It’s the 3 you have to worry about.
Steam Deck 3 will come out after half life 3. So never.
They release together. It’s the most profitable day for any company ever in existence. Gabe is 104 somehow, and it is the day he dies. He dies in ecstasy.
I really like valve and would rather give them my money. I owned a steam controller and it worked for six years of hard use before it died. Now I’m on my second ps5 controller in two years and its shit comparatively.
The deck is repairable which makes it better than any of the garbage released or to be released handhelds. Honestly I don’t really trust the others to make anything but planned obsolescence.
I’ll be sad if valve doesn’t make a SD2, but I get it. They just want to grow their market. If other OEMs are doing it on their own R&D dime all the better for valve.
