Liverpool have agreed a £60m deal to sign Romeo Lavia from Southampton. They must still convince the midfielder to choose them over Chelsea. More on @guardian_sport soon
I really feel that both he and Caicedo should have said that whichever team won yesterday would be who they would go to - or that in the event of a draw, as it turned out, they’d let a coin decide which went to which club.
On the other hand, is there another 8 year contract being dangled at Stamford Bridge?
Well, yeah, 8 years at what I assume are very generous wages. He could get injured next week and still get paid for a decade. It’s the smart move on the player’s part. Seems mad from Chelsea though. I guess they’ll have insurance though.
Chelsea are offering big contracts for the amortization benefits it brings to expensive transfers. They won’t do that for a relatively cheaper transfer

Chelsea is offering a way better deal to Caicedo and reports say Lavia is also preferring chelsea.

Maybe Chelsea will try to offer 10 years contract for him
