England midfielder Keira Walsh has not suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury but will miss the final group game against China.
Walsh had to be taken off as a substitute during the 1-0 win over Denmark on Friday — and there were immediate fears that she had damaged her ACL.
The 26-year-old went down 35 minutes into the game and got her foot caught in the turf.
Head coach Sarina Wiegman later admitted the injury looked “serious”. But the FA have confirmed Walsh has not damaged her ACL and will stay with England at the tournament as she recovers.
