Rimworld: Naked and alone

Lately in Rimworld I’ve been hacking away at surviving in Naked Brutality (and mostly failing). In this mode, you get a single colonist who arrives in a map with no food, no weapons, no cloth…

This is one of the most fun game modes I’ve ever experienced. Love to fail in this.

Is “insanely fast researcher” the end of the story? That seems pretty abrupt.

Any survival / base-building game fans who haven’t played Rimworld really should give it a try. It’s excellent and challenging.

Yea I agree. It’s like this is part #1 of X, and they forgot to sign off

Edit: After reading a few more posts on their blog, it seems to be their style. It’s more of a blog post than an “article”

Maybe the domain name is hinting that the author writes only as much as he can while going to the bathroom. That could explain seemingly truncated posts.

Also, the explanation of what the Naked Brutality scenario is and that they did multiple runs in it is nearly as long as the actual report of one of these runs (which ended on day 3), followed by the longer description of a multi-month backup people run, which basically has nothing to do with Naked Brutality.

4. Stay on-topic; no memes, funny videos, giveaways, reposts, or low-effort posts

This community is mostly for discussion and news. Remember to search for the thing you’re submitting before posting to see if it’s already been posted.

We want to keep the quality of posts high. Therefore, memes, funny videos, low-effort posts and reposts are not allowed. We prohibit giveaways because we cannot be sure that the person holding the giveaway will actually do what they promise.

5. Mark Spoilers and NSFW

Make sure to mark your stuff or it may be removed.

No one wants to be spoiled. Therefore, always mark spoilers. Similarly mark NSFW, in case anyone is browsing in a public space or at work.

6. No linking to piracy

Don’t share it here, there are other places to find it. Discussion of piracy is fine.

We don’t want us moderators or the admins of lemmy.world to get in trouble for linking to piracy. Therefore, any link to piracy will be removed. Discussion of it is of course allowed.
