Today’s game is some more Assassin’s Creed III. I got to the first modern section. These sections make me wish we got more of them. I honestly wouldn’t mind a game fully in modern times. Though Watchdogs kind of felt like that.
Speaking of this section. It’s like the 1/3 point, right? It’s so weird how short this game is. Ubisoft really has become horrendous lately for just stretching out their games to absurd lengths. That was the primary issue i had when playing Shadows. The opening? Great. I loved it. The End? Also great. also loved it. The middle? I was constantly asking myself “Jesus christ, when does the story pick up again?”. It dragged out way too long. There’s something about playing something this short after something that was that long thats kind of comfy. I like it.

Night time Boston was gorgeous. This was a PS3 game? I know it’s the remaster but still, i don’t think they changed that much. The ambience is cozy. Im a sucker for dark snow and warm lighting scenes. It’s something Max Payne 1 did that made me love it.

This also brings me to Achilles. Absolutely my favorite character in this game. When i was younger i remember crying after doing his last mission. I like how he takes on a sort of surrogate father role for Connor. It really i feel deepens their relationship beyond just “Student and Mentor”.

Finally, there’s the sailing missions. Having come from Black Flag a while ago, the Travel Speed in that game i sorely miss. It’s a godsend and i didn’t realize I’d miss it. Black Flag definitely refined the formula too in a way that makes it pleasant to play.

The modern day action certainly stands up than the ones in previous entries in 3 they have a more important role
As big of a fan of the franchise as i am, i’m a bit embarrassed to admit the only game of the first 4 i had played is Revelations and the first half of 1, so i suppose i don’t have much to base it on
Don’t be embarrassed at all when I first played the series I began from the first game, if you know the community they praise the Ezio trilogy, you didn’t complete AC 1, I believe that it’s an easy if you get used to it’s mechanics, because Altair is important character since you have played revelations you know how important he is
