Today’s game is some more Silent Hill f. I’ve been slowly playing the New Game+ in the background and decided to let everything else rest for a while. I want to try and do a month of just horror games. When i started New Game+I decided i was going to play on the Into the Fog Difficulty (the hardest one). It is a nightmare. Most enemies can kill me in two strikes. This is the reason i say I’ve been slowly playing it. It’s still a fun time though even if it’s a struggle. Along with this i installed a free cam mod. I wanted to peek around and also use it to capture some awesome photos. It has one downside and that is that i can’t change the FOV. Still though, it’s awesome to have.
I won’t be mentioning any story spoilers here (I’m still working through New Game+) but i love the subtle changes New Game+ makes. That’s all I’ll say.

The puzzles on this difficulty are a challenge too because they’re often time kind of vague. It’s honestly a little refreshing though having puzzles this hard. It really gave me time to think. Though, i did end up struggling a bit with the Scarecrow puzzle.

The first Dark Shrine boss fight was the first major challenge i came too on Into The Fog. I’ve been trying to beat it for the last 3ish days. The boss fight basically needed completely perfect dodges because i rarely got time to heal. I ended up keeping my Sanity up for the Otter charm too auto counter and then used focus attacks to deal damage from a distance. It’s the only time i felt like the Into The Fog difficulty was unfair because it took so many hits to end this boss. I know it’s the hardest difficulty, but some times this felt like Halo 2 Legendary difficulty for this boss fight. It took me a while. I did do it though.

I ended off after the boss fight. I took a quick look around for anything i might need and then saved before getting off. Now that the first boss fight is done I’m hoping i can get back to running away from most enemies like i have been. The challenge honestly makes the whole thing feel a lot more tense because i can’t just fight everything.

Im also playing this but am still halfway through. I like most things about its so bizarre to me how much they focus on the combat
The combat I’m a little iffy on. It’s not the worst thing, but sometimes it feels a little off
