Today is some more Oblivion. I went straight to the Shivering Isles DLC after beating the main story (which i will add looked sick in the remaster).
Case in point is how the final cutscene is done. The original was already sick, but the graphics really make it stand out and look epic. After the final battle i was left looking up at Martin in the sky. I just kind of chilled there for a bit while the soundtrack kicked in. The scene was really Serene:
Speaking of the Soundtrack, you know what game it makes me want a remaster of? Fable 2. The soundtrack sounds so similar too it. In fact i’m considering looking for my disk copy just so i can dump it and emulate it. Now that i’m thinking about it they share a lot of vibes too. I can’t really explain how though. Ig it’s just the general medieval feel they have along with both being 360 era games.
Moving back into Oblivion though, the Shivering Isles are really cool. It’s a good variation from the main world and everything is wild. It almost has an Alice in Wonderland esque vibe too it and it also kind of looks like a No Man’s Sky Planet.
I ended up going with the Mania door and this place is gorgeous. I’m loving the night sky and all the foliage. I’m hoping i get a chance to see the Dementia realm later because i’m interested to see what that looks like

The Shivering Isles is a ton of fun. I didn’t know what to expect in an Oblivion DLC (I barely played the original game) but I was pleasantly surprised by how weird it is. Like you said, it’s an Alice in Wonderland scenario with bizarre quests and a crazy king. Sheogorath’s voice acting is legendary.
By the way you should repair your armor :P
i keep meaning to get the Armor fixed but everytime im in a town i forget. Luckily it’s just the hood i’m wearing that’s broken now, but i really should fix it sooner rather than later
You can buy repair hammers from the blacksmith to repair equipment on the go. It’s cheaper to buy repair hammers and fix them yourself than let the blacksmith do it, too
I think my armor skill is to low level to repair magic armor and weapons right now. I really need to work on getting it up so i can repair those
