Vox Media has sold Polygon, the gaming site it founded in 2012 as "a new kind of website, built on new technology, backed by a new kind of media company."

At least valnet made the list of their brands easy to find if you feel like blacklisting them.

A bunch of sites that have seen a noticeable downturn in quality since being acquired by Valnet. XDA and Android Police have really gone to shit lately. GameRant and Collider too. The Valnet guys founded Brazzers, if that gives you any idea of how shady they are.

RIP Polygon.

Them owning OpenCritic was a big surprise to me. Wasn’t that site founded specifically because MetaCritic was shit? Might as well just use MetaCritic if both are run by assholes lol.

I use to read android police daily when I was younger, often checking multiple times a day for new articles. This was a routine of mine for years and these cock suckers bought them and it went to shit.

Very noticeable shift in content and quality, wouldn’t recommend reading any of their stuff.
