I agree. I’m playing through part 2 right now, as I just finished part 1 a few days ago. I have to say so far part 2 is really good but it’s just lacking something that part 1 had. I think my biggest issue is Corvo having a voice. I didn’t think it would bother me but considering he is totally silent in the first game, him talking to himself in part 2 is just jarring. I probably should have played as Emily instead.
I just played through both and it’s definitely 2. The graphical difference between the two is actually absurd, and the QOL changes, level design, and two main characters pushes it into a separate league from the first. Only thing about 2 that isn’t better is the voice acting. The VA is HORRIBLE in D2 it’s actually kind of distracting. No thanks to Vincent D’onofrio who is an atrocious actor.
I started replaying the first one last week. We really had no idea how good we had it back then. I don’t think we’ll ever get another experience like that again.

Dishonored 2 is a masterpiece. Great art, great characters, gameplay options out the ass… gotta go back and play it now
Personally I was a bigger fan of the 1st one. The storyline was great, it had some eery scenes, and it ran soooo well on the steam deck.
May not have given the second one a good enough chance, though the 1st one will always have a special place in my heart

Which do you prefer Dishonored 1 or 2? I struggle to pick a favourite, tbh.

Yeah he was passable in FMJ despite hamming it up a little too much, making “that” scene more funny that dramatic.

One of the few games I’ve ever played more than once. Great game, indeed.
