Steam's member 'Snight01' has released a must-have mod for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor that fixes the annoying Ray Tracing crashes on Jedha.

this isn’t the first time a modder has to fix a game for a AAA studio… i’m not sure if anyone has been hired for doing that work…

the guy who made the counter strike mod for half life was hired by valve.

Modders are regularly hired by gaming companies, it’s a very good field to find passionate and talented people. I don’t have any specific examples of bug fixers hired by the studios, but the modder who fixed the very long loading times in GTAV was offered $10,000 by Rockstar, and Durante (who released the DSfix for Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition and GeDoSaTo, usable in a few other games) created his own PC port studio.

Yeah, modders fixing up the game was part of Bethesda’s release cycle.
