Believe it or not, other people’s decisions affect you (and us). Same reason why micro transactions have been embraced by pretty much the entire industry at this point, despite me never ever buying a single one, and many games that could have been awesome have been completely ruined.
And you’re never going to be able to do anything about that. There are millions of people who make stupid, irresponsible decisions all the time. There are millions of dollars spent to keep them doing that. As long as they continue, the companies keep winning. You can’t fix stupid.
Yeah, every time I see one of these stories, I’m very confused. Who is this article for? The people dumb enough to give publishers MORE money for a half-assed, unfinished game? Are they supposed to read this article and be converted? I don’t pre-order anything and I rarely spend more than $40 on a game, so I truly don’t give a shit.
