Game developer Mob Entertainment is partnering with Legendary Entertainment to create a movie based on their childlike horror hit, Poppy Playtime.

This just makes me question why there aren’t any straight comedies/stoner comedies again. If it’s because they aren’t financially viable due to streaming (since they would usually make more on home video sales and rental agreements than at the box office): how the fuck do shitty horror/YouTuber video game movies keep getting made?
