I haven’t been able to afford the last two generations… I only know a few people who have a PS4 and I don’t know anyone with a PS5
If they did built-in backward compatibility I would be more likely to buy. My last PS console was a fat PS3 that would still play my PS2 games.
The PS5 is backwards compatible with PS4 games.

Almost everyone I know who had a PS4, now has a PS5. One guy even got one after only doing Nintendo prior.
