😂 this is ridiculous. He wants to leave and even if they offer him anywhere cheaply, he won’t take the deal. Basically they’re hoping Madrid come in for him at a reasonable price.
I do find it interesting that he’s hedging his bets and putting it out there that he knows his current wages are ridiculous and would be willing to have a more normal wage at his next club.
He will be able to some extent to convince his next club to dump a %age of what they ‘should’ have paid in transfer fee into his wage. If we say he’s worth 150m then over 5 years that’s 30m a year, or 600k a week, that he can try and argue should go towards his wages. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up on a million a week, and I know that’s slightly down on what he’s on now, but still - outrageous money
