If you’re worried about it, bg3 will give you more bang for your buck. Easy to get near 100 hours in the first playthrough and it has a ton of replay value. 33 you’ll prob get 20-40 hours depending on side content you do and it doesn’t have much replay value.
Speaking as someone who loved both and got 100% achievements in 33. Should do both though.

You can but don’t need to grind any of the Borderlands games until super late finished the game 3 times with the same character already end game, and by that time it’s fun to just start a new character of a different class. Handsome collection, playing 2 in particular is the best. And that collection works for up to 4 player locally
Expedition 33 says there’s a big appetite for what final Fantasy used to be, but they just won’t rpg and have to make everything action for whatever reason. I blame Kingdom hearts.
The pixel remasters were terribly executed too. Way better than the mobile ports, but still awful compared to og, and weirdly inconsistent per platform.
The entirety of avengers was batshit crazy.
Point is, squeenix has many problems.
