Yeah I can’t go back to normal style launchers. Niagara is great

For me its 250-350. I can usually get a 1 or 2 generation older flagship device at that price, refurbished.

Unfortunately even if you could distribute them here last I checked they don’t have the US band support and going through FCC certification process takes time and money

I don’t really get why this matters that much? If they want to charge ridiculous amounts for stupid cosmetic shit, users don’t have to buy it. I’ve put a couple hundred hours into Apex and Fortnite and have literally spent $0. Best investment I’ve ever made.

Makes sense, I was joking anyways. Running your xbox into a HDMI capture card just to play games on your desktop is kind of silly. You might as well just plug the xbox into your monitor directly.

Just get an HDMI capture card and plug your Xbox into your PC!

You can customize the colors I believe? At least I can on my s21fe. I like it, gives my a phone a nice refresh every once in a while

My guess is people weren’t buying large phones anymore. Those that want them are getting foldables. That being said you could get the Galaxy Tab A7, I think there is a version with a 4g modem. Also there are iPad mini models with 5g iirc.

YouTube is super weird. I had uploaded some audio cassette tapes that I had found at my grandma’s. She lived near a nuclear power plant and when the facility was built in the 80s they had handed out audio casettes to people in the area with information about what to do in emergencies, who to call for information, etc. I digitized the cassettes and put them on YouTube and they were taken down within a day. No idea why, never given a reason. It’s public information as it was handed out by power plant and city government.

Dreamcast did have copy protection but its easily circumvented. Like even at the time it was fairly easy

I’ve used nextradio in the past. It does both streaming and broadcast fm radio iirc. Samsung had a radio app bundled on some of their older phones. I wanna say Note 9 maybe or maybe the previous gen. You could look for the apk and try it

The trailer looks pretty but what is the gameplay going to be like? Just running away from dinosaurs the whole time with nostalgia grab scenes? It’s funny to me that 30 years and many franchise films later, they still use only the first movie for nostalgia grabs. Shows how the other films really don’t hold a candle to the original

I recently played Raji An Ancient Epic. Kind of prince of Persia like, but with fantastical temples and palaces made with Indian mythology. Very pretty game if a bit basic in gameplay

Haha Inside is correct! Yeah you’re right now I’m remembering some of the really weird stuff that happens in the game. I loved their game Limbo too but that also has some gruesome deaths

Outside is a great game. Lots of spooky shit but not outright violent.

are they going to bring back the animation from GTAIV? That was so much better. The ragdoll stuff was really fun, Euphoria i think it was called?

Yeah here’s a comparison (sorry for the reddit link) https://www.reddit.com/link/14d8cxy/video/h05ehk8wnx6b1/player

There’s crazy stuff like that on every website. Run a script blocker like noscript and it’ll open your eyes.

The game catalog is pretty decent. I had an issue where I downloaded a couple games from Netflix and then found they didn’t work on my flight because they needed a network connection. Pretty annoying

No popup camera, but Samsung Xcover6 Pro might be your jam: https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_xcover6_pro-11600.php

6gb ram, 120hz display, Android 13, Snapdragon 778, SD slot, removeable battery, 3.5mm jack, USB 3.2 w/dex support.

Unfortunately it works. Consumers are dumb. The HBO show The Wire covered this, the drug dealers were losing customers because of low quality product. They rebranded so they could continue selling the same crap. This tactic works. Comcast did a real life version of this in the US, year after year they were rated as one of the worst ISPs, they rebranded as Xfinity and people seemed to stop complaining.

Probably just nostalgia talking but the 90s was such a good time for console gaming. Sega and Nintendo were pumping out hits and then later Sony came in. I still remember standing in line at Target to get an N64. They ran out by the time my number came up so I got the 1st unit on the next shipment a week later. What an excruciating week, but firing up Mario 64 for the first time felt like stepping into the future to a kid like me

Yeah for sure, using proper test gear is necessary. But sometimes I’m just trying to do something quick and dirty and injecting tone from my phone is good enough. I also do some audio gear restoration at home and it helps there. Did a big work over of an old Teac reel to reel deck and being able to inject tone was so handy (without stealing gear from work)

I use an app called Signal Generator to diagnose analog audio issues (I work in broadcasting)

That’s because the FM signal needs an antenna that’s longer than you can fit in your phone

I know I’m a minority opinion but I like having the option. It’s like IR blasters, SD cards, removable batteries… things I didn’t use all the time but sometimes come very much in handy.

Why do the British call it “redundancies”. Seems like a weird way of saying we’re laying people off

But why? Gmail (and email in general) is, to me, for long form communication and professional communication. Emoji are the opposite of that

I wish there were better alternatives. I really dislike what maps has become. It used to be streamlined. Now in most views i get so many POI listings (ads) on the map its cluttered and confusing. There’s that weird bottom shelf thing that pops up that I have to swipe down… I tried using Here Maps but it once let me to a dead end thinking it was a road and it has this weird bug in navigation mode where it blurs half of display. I opened a ticket with them months ago and they never solved it.

So i think used to be a goodlock module but i guess now its in Settings > Sounds and Vibration > separate app sound. If you don’t have it there you can get a goodlock module called “sound assistant”. Separate app sound isn’t super flexible but it at least lets you choose an app to go to a specific audio output device. Goodlock is available in the galaxy store and has a lot of modules for heavy customization of your galaxy device.

I really like both. This round I ended up going with Samsung. Yeah it’s a little more bloated but there’s just SO much more customization with good lock modules. I have an audio module that lets me choose a second audio destination. So for example I can be playing music through Bluetooth on my stereo system and then I have my system notifications set to the phone speaker so that they don’t interrupt the music

You would sync them to your iPod like any other audio. You download the podcast, put it in your iTunes library and when you plugged in your iPod it would transfer everything over.

Yeah I get what you’re saying about him being a blank slate. I guess I’m just tired of generic white dudes as being the definition of blank slate. I hope he does get more interesting, I found the other characters far more fun to follow than Cal

I found Cal Kestis to be the most generic sounding and looking Star wars character. The games are fun but I found myself uninterested in him as a character

Not very interesting news in my opinion. Lots of companies/CEOs want to acquire other companies.
