From my read of the situation, I don’t think the ownership want to pay the man his money. A contract extension should in theory be extremely simple to achieve, but it basically guarantees that he leaves on a free next year. They want to recoup his value, and that’s looking a little impossible right now.
SteamDB says Rimworld, but I’m almost certain it’s actually Fallout: NV, as the Nexus launcher at one point bypassed Steam and so those hours aren’t represented. I have about 1100 hours in Rimworld, but probably closer to 3000 in Fallouts 3 and NV.
Lol I somehow completely forgot about Guild Wars 2. Pretty sure my age in that game is over 2 years of active playtime.
The wife and I are on the penultimate chapter of Rise of the Golden Idol, which has been an excellent sequel to the first.
On my own, I finished up Plague Tale: Innocence, which was… okay. The stealth elements were alright and the puzzles were somewhat enjoyable, but it dragged a little bit and I was a little annoyed with the combat (the final boss was pretty good). I also 100%'d World of Horror, which took me absolutely forever.
Reply: Maybe, but that’s not why he was booked, and if you’re going to book him for that then we should have seen 3 more yellows for similar contact in the first half to set the tone properly, instead of only punishing this instance. On top of that, see my second yellow comment; sending a player off should require a higher bar than this. On top of all of that, the official stance is that he was sent off for delaying the restart. And I’m not even going to begin to describe the number of times a City player delayed a free kick/throw in and wasn’t punished with even a first yellow. I’m done with that.
NB: I’m travelling and my Lemmy app decided to cache this comment and send it as soon as I got to the airport, hence the delay. Sorry for necro.
That actually seems to be somewhat contentious. At the time the commentators said it was for delaying the restart. Afterwards, pundits said that they’d heard it was for the challenge on Silva.
Putting Arsenal bias hat on I assume they’re just trying to figure out which reason will hold more water and get them in less trouble.
See, I’m loving that everyone is suddenly so adamant that a yellow is a yellow. Second yellows have ALWAYS been 10x harder to earn than the first, because of the consequence of getting one. Fuck, Rodri is famous for maybe getting one for his third or fourth card-worthy challenge and then becoming immune to them for the rest of the match.
But now, suddenly, a yellow is a yellow no matter what the game context. Referees seem to want to have their cake and eat it too: they want to be able to shrug and say “you gave me no choice” but also prevent VAR from intervening because the human element is important to refereeing.
I’m having a really hard time not making a dick joke.
Also, how hard did we low-ball them for? The lowest report we saw said 85+10, which surely can’t be as insulting as this tweet implies. That being said, I imagine the first bid will always get turned down, so I’m not mad. How long do we have to wait between bids so at to not seem overeager?
But this isn’t a jury trial, is it? In my opinion, if they don’t announce the results very soon, then that has to mean that they’re guilty, it’s just a matter of what punishment they’ll be given. That, in my opinion, will actually take longer to decide than the actual guilty/not guilty decision.
