Last time I used the recomp, which has the randomiser built in. The game looks and runs much nicer through it.

I grew up with Zelda Ocarina of Time, so now every time I feel like playing it I use a randomiser to put all the items in random locations. It makes every playthrough more unique and interesting.

Have a very nostalgic theme for a very specific group of people. :P

My understanding is that at least some WoW players switched to ffxiv, which does seem to be popular and well updated. If you’re looking for a new game, might be worth a look?

Dr. Robotnik’s Ring Racers. A Sonic fan game that’s similar to Mario Kart. It’s kinda drawn me in and it’s very technical.

In terms of multiplayer games to play with friends on Discord; been playing a lot of Apex Legends recently. Sadly I suck at aiming.

I grew up with Kazooie, so it’s nice seeing someone else enjoy the game.

Personally I never really had an issue with the controls, but that’s probably due to me learning them when I was a child. I can certainly see them being confusing if you’re not familiar with them though.

I did recently play a BK randomizer and a romhack recently and ended up binding C buttons to my controller’s bumpers and x/y buttons rather than the stick. But that was a pain because Retroarch is still buggy for me when you try to do it.

Just a heads up for anyone exploring in the future, they now seem to be FossifyOrg: https://github.com/FossifyOrg

I’ve sunk so many hours into Slay the Spire, such a good game.

I think at this point it’s a “comfort game” for me that I go back to occasionally if I don’t feel like playing anything new or am having a bad day.
