How long did it take to click for you? I’ve played for like 20-30 mins. I don’t even really understand the rules.

Loved commandos. They’re making a new one. There is a demo out. Probably launched next year.

Well, I use Steam a ton and have a Steam Deck. But, Steam dev effort to income ratio is probably ridiculously skewed. The company pretty much prints money. In that way, Steam is a cash grab.

I do question if Steam hadn’t been such a success if Valve might have released HL3 by now.

It has Google vibes to it. Google makes so much money in ad revenue that a lot of their other products just get cancelled.

I do like Valve overall though and am a fan. I’m a fan that wants to know the ending of HL3.

Is assassin’s creed any good? Once a game becomes a franchise with a bajillion releases I just tune it out. Feel the same way about marvel movies. Maybe they’re good, maybe they’re bad, but I’m more annoyed that they’re trying to shove it down my throat, so I tune out.

I have yet to buy a PS5 because there isn’t a game I want yet. Also, Sony tends to release improved consoles with lower price points and smaller footprints after a few years.

I notice this too. Always, always open the app, check the rate, close the app. I think this triggers some flow where they think you’re cross comparing prices with Lyft, so they offer a more competitive rate on the second check.

Best to have both apps installed anyway so you can check both.

Yeah it makes no sense that Cyberpunk wasn’t even a finalist for this award. They should’ve won for the comeback they’ve made after their disastrous launch. RDR2 is a bizarre choice.

Why was Cyberpunk not even a finalist? They released a massive update this year and have pretty much fixed the game and added lots of new content through the DLC.

Yeah I played that one. Also pretty great. Hope they build another one soon. It’s already been 5 years.

I never played DnD. I bought it because of the rave reviews and it’s been fun. Glad to support real AAA without the upsell shenanigans.

It’s 10 fucking years. GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas were all less than a couple years apart. They need to reuse that strategy of working in parallel and reusing the game engine for a few sequels before moving to the next generation.

I’m confident they would’ve released more games if GTA Online wasn’t such a money printer for them. For those of us that liked the single player though and didn’t touch online, it’s been a while!

I always thought I wanted GTA Online during the GTA3 era. Then when it became a reality, I realized I really didn’t want it and preferred the single player. The moment the story ends though, I have zero interest. Same with RDR2. Don’t care much to run around an empty world trying to collect 100% completion. Online is toxic and boring. Anything with an in game currency that you can buy with real money is a no from me. I guess I grew up in a different era when games were games and not gambling scams.

I’m only interested in GTA 6 for the single player game. Never played GTA 5 online for more than 30 minutes. I wish they had given us some single player DLC, but I guess Rockstar decided they could make the more money selling a handful of kids fake in game currency so why bother. It sucks for those of us that like the single player because it means we get a new game once a decade now. Used to be that Rockstar released a new GTA every couple years.

Some of those are pretty old, so I guess I understand, but shutting down 2 year old FIFA games seems malicious.

What use outside of microtransactions would there be anyway?
