Some foods do have specific, regional character. Is the milk or yeast from the next county over going to make a cheese that tastes the same? Idk but you can get very similar styles of cheese made elsewhere.

That all being said, I can see why calling same thing Parmesan when it’s not from Parma, is not entirely truthful, if consumers care about origin. Which in the EU they certainly do.

They specifically mention open kettle canning as a bad practice. My friend and I were canning something and he wasn’t sure we were doing it right. He called his mom and she said she had always done open kettle canning (where you basically just pouring boiling temp food into hot jars and seal them). I guess experts have soured on the practice.

Either way, we made our cans the “right” way after lots of googling and none of the jars seemed to fail.

I mean there’s a lot of ifs here. Is your microphone next to your keyboard? Is someone on the calling attempting this with mature software? Do you they know you are typing your password or something else sensitive?

I would imagine passwords are harder to pin down, assuming it’s like cryptography. If someone types three sentences that’s a lot of coherent data to work with. If someone types 1234BossSucks! then from a cryptography perspective, going to be a low chance to understand.

Reading more of the bot summary, and yeah, this sounds more like cryptography. If the microphone can hear your key strokes, data like the volume, timbre, overall rhythm, etc, can be collected and mapped to possible text.

Need to make sure a qualified contractor does the work, that the sidewalk is roped off, and that other construction on the same road isn’t happening. Pretty typical stuff.
