You’d do well by looking into the higher-end Fairphone 5.

We’re all (mostly) here to help each other. I’m just giving back a minimal fraction of what I get here.

I’ll try this weekend, if only just to know if it works.

The option is there on my Pixel 8 Pro with GrapheneOS, but I have no idea if it will actually work, as I’ve never had a need to use it. But at least we know the option seems to be available.

I thought it was only mine. Guess they’re ready to apply the obsolescence update to these soon.

As a matter of fact, I spent about a year on my 7 Pro, and just got my hands on a Pixel 8 Pro. I am finishing installing GrapheneOS on it right now.

I have auto update on Neostore and it works flawlessly, but barely use it as I prefer to update as many apps as possible from the original source (Codegerg, Github, Gitlab, etc) over Obtainium.

Unless you’re retraining to go back to Windows from Linux, then the brain starts farthing incessantly 🤣🤣

I used Niagara back in the Cyanogen days. I guess it’s time to give it another shot. Thanks for the tip. Now, to retrain my old brain.

Now they have your money AND will track you.

OK, if they say so, it must be true. I mean, they bought it because they had nothing better to do with the money, and that they are a data mining company means nothing. They just wanted a Launcher because “why not?”.

Just keep your Nova launcher and don’t opt-in to the tracking, nothing will change. 🤔

I’ve been seeing too much of this lately. They can’t get us to get their nasty tracking malware ridden software, so they bet on us being too stupid to move away from one they purchase because we used to trust it. Same thing that happened with the Simple apps suite.

We’ll be seeing more and more of this moving forward.

This is a great little app, for sure, but it’s still a bit jaggy. WIP that it is though, it does the job, for the most part. Certainly beats having to search and reinstall all apps from an actual F-droid repo. Just add all your Apps, export that DB, and you can rom-hop to your heart’s content.

That’s weird. I use Shelter, and I run different versions of Tasker. From play store on the work profile and from Fdroid on the home profile. Maybe it’s a few apps that don’t allow it?
