They did say “creatively”.

It will be a buggy POS at launch, and cheating in the online mode will be rampant, but…

No we didn’t. I happily left reddit the day Apollo stopped. They also lost my premium subscription.

I also stopped Twitter when musk took over. I use Bluesky or Mastodon and find both platforms to be superior.

Sure, some folks may have, but many of us have not. Does that matter to Reddit? probably not. Do I care? not really.

Modern Reddit is unusable, and old reddit isn’t mobile friendly.

They bought a bunch of assets that didn’t work well together, made a poor attempt to make them work together, and released a buggy half-finished game…oh and the hame was completely different from what they said they were working on.

I did like the gameplay loop, however.

Okay. I stopped using reddit (and cancelled my premium membership) when Apollo stopped working, so hope it works out for them.

Let them require it. Search engines like DDG should really begin maintaining their own index, and they should exclude sites that use the tech from the index.

I can also see Apple taking a stand against this. They have a competing (and much more reasonable) implementation that respects user privacy.

Correct. Valve could have let them release it and let Nintendo go through the DMCA process. As long as Valve follows the process, they would not be the subject of any litigation.

They decided to break the process.

Did you read the article? This is Valve’s doing, not Nintendo. The keys weren’t even in question. Valve is requiring the Dolphin devs to get permission from Nintendo, something that will never happen.
