To me, Ctrl Alt Ego is not well known enough. It is an immersive sim in the style of Prey. You play as a robot roaming a station, where your Ego (like a spirit) can pass into and control all sorts of objects to solve puzzles, evade, control or kill enemies. The graphics aren’t impressive (it was made by a 2-person team) but the gameplay is so interesting and the story is surprisingly compelling and funny!
I thought the new Fold has the S pen?
I also remain on my note 20 ultra, though I may trade it in when I lose updates later this year. I’m currently leaning towards S22 ultra. Considering foldables but hear so much bad user feedback on reliability, and I also love telephoto pics so I think the S22 is the clear superior choice
They went open source on Github after they were acquired by Automattic.
I have been using AIO launcher for a few years now. Extremely customizable, fast, information-first launcher. Not for everyone, but if you ever liked Rainmeter, it has the same vibe in a lot of ways.
I had the same calculation a while ago. The feature where you could resume a podcast on my phone and Google Home speaker was tempting, but I stuck with Pocket Casts, which I just feel is more invested in their product. And the idea of listening to podcasts on Youtube is just not for me. Same reason I’ve never wanted podcasts on Spotify; podcast listening is something I want separate, not mixed with music.
Fortunately I use SD Maid 2, which is available on github or some alternative repositories. These days whenever there’s an option I try not to download via the Play Store. Too much drama
I am a marine scientist and need a phone that can perform in the field. I know the new foldables are water resistant, but I would be worried about salt and grit getting up in that hinge and messing stuff up. So I don’t think they’re for me, though I’d really like to have one. My Note 20 Ultra is too small to comfortably jot notes on honestly.
I personally love Samsung. Have a Note20 Ultra still going strong, got a Tab S9 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro in the last year. They are all so customizable out of the box using Good Lock and other software that it would be painful to switch. I find they all perform really well and the improvements of OneUI are appreciated. I like the Calendar, Browser (on tablet), Reminders and some other apps much more than Google’s offerings.
I’ve been pretty happy with my Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. Have access to apps I value like Bring, Home Assistant, Todoist, Google Maps, Yatse. Google Assistant actually is pretty responsive and useful. Music controls are effective, as is responding to texts, dismissing notifications. I get about 2.5 days battery life allowing me to do sleep tracking. So I’d recommend it!
This is interesting timing! I was considering trading in my Pebble Time, since Samsung was running one of their “trade in any smartwatch, any condition” deals. But I couldn’t do it. I found myself reconnecting the watch and setting it up to connect to the third party Rebble servers and putting apps on it like the old days. It’s remarkable how well this device aged, and its interface is still so much more fun and endearing than anything WearOS can offer. So I wish them the best!
