From my own experience, it all depends on what software you use to view the picture. For an example, Windows 10’s own image viewer, Photos, can view the pictures as pixelated (at least it used to few years ago, might depend of GPU and whatnot), while other image viewers like qimgv lets you zoom in as close as specific words without pixelating the image.

The images below shows just this. The first image shows the image with no zoom, as how qimgv let you see the image when you open the file. The second image shows the image 100% zoomed in, and the third image shows a extreme close-up on 1 word in qimgv.

The photo was taken with the Open Camera app with a Google Pixel 6a (camera resolution set to the highest setting: 4032x3024 (12,19 MP)).

The screenshot below shows the same image, but as much zoomed in I could possible zoom in, in Fossify Gallery.

That’s weird. The image quality is really good for me. Did you check the photo settings and set the camera resolution on max?

I can highly recommend Open Camera. You can install it from F-Droid.

No, I’m not. All I am saying is that people are still using IRC. IRC is therefore not dead. But if you want to compare Discord with IRC, then yes, IRC is dead. But not dead-dead since people are still using it and can still recover. I know people that wants to start using IRC again.

Do you follow what I mean now?

Last time I used IRC (which was 1-3 years ago), I found over 4 servers that each had over 15 users. And since I am communicating with 5+ IRC users through XMPP, IRC is not dead. It’s more dead today compared to 20 years ago, yes, but it is not dead-dead.

But IRC is dead now

I highly disagree. I am in a group chat on XMPP that uses a IRC bridge and many of the users in that group chat are using that bridge.

And now to other stuff that I want to mention related to the discussion in this thread.

Services that does not meet modern standards like Mumble and XMPP, are not widly used because they “lack many important features”. I say “bah, humbug” to that!

If MSN and ICQ worked flawlessly when those services was active, Mumble and XMPP works very well today, too. People are too spoiled by today’s technology.

Here’s an example.

I use my self-hosted Jitsi Meet server when communicating with people that refuses to talk to me unless there’s video calls and screen sharing. Otherwise, I gladly use Mumble 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, every year! And for file sharing other than images? XMPP, baby!

A friend of mine invited a Discord loving person to my Jitsi Meet server few weeks ago. He/she said “it looks just like Discord, I’m sold!” My friend (also a Discord lover) agreed and does not hesitate for 1 second to join me on Jitsi Meet. My friend’s Discord friend said he/she gladly join us more times.

How about Mumble? It’s free, open sourced, encrypted, and with temporary chats with the ability to share images with ease.

I bought stuff from GOG instead because I don’t want to buy a license of the games, I want to own them :)

Can’t remember exactly how many games I bought, but min. 5 ^^

Sorry for the delayed reply, but this issue got fixed maybe 2 months ago :)

UQ1A.240105.002.2024010400, Pixel 6a

Sorry, but I don’t know how to get the logs and where to find the logs.

Yepp, I saw that issue last month or something like that :) Thank you for the link anyway.

I use the call recorder whenever I feel like it’s important (for an example, when calling a company). But sometimes the phone (Pixel 6a) does not register my push on the record button. So most of the times, I have to press it 2-4 times before the phone goes like “aha, you actually pressed the button” -.- Super annoying! Automatic call record will prevent this issue :)

FlorisBoard, hands down. I have tried many keyboards since maybe 2013, and FlorisBoard is the best one yet. It is privacy friendly too.
