I just beat evil West and cyberpunk 2077. I’ve been playing through death’s stranding and today I booted up Chernobylite and I’m having a great time.

I absolutely loved void bastards. This looks like an insta-buy for me. Those gun animations were slick.

Yeah I don’t know what everyone is talking about. Visually, it looks cool.

I didn’t know anyone even remembered this game.

Seemingly, this doesn’t fix the tampered game file issue with steam deck users. Maybe it isn’t everyone but I can stay in the umbral as long as I want and the crimson reaper will never spawn and I can’t go online or get achievements.

Yeah the definitive edition sale came in clutch. I only had the base game and the tech priest on PS5 but now I have the sororitas and the mission dlcs all for a tenner on steam. Should pair nicely with the steam deck.

Just went home and beat the arch bishop in like 5 tries. So far I think my equipment load jumped 20 pts with no additional leveling of capacity. Very nice.

I normally don’t like adventure games without combat but yuppie psycho is absolutely amazing. I love that game.

I just played through the game a few months back and I thought it was awesome. I hope we get something else like it in the future. The ammo was never too scarce, there were enough upgrades to make the combat very satisfying. But I also played it after all the updates came out to kind of balance.

Yup, steam with a Ryzen 5600x and rx 6800xt. I’ve tried verifying the game files a couple times. I’ll give it another go in a bit. I’d love for there to be a change but I think I’m in that weird category that should work fine but it’s just borked. The game ran great otherwise. Just trying to load saves and on the one attempt that actually works if I try to enter Caledonia it’s an automatic I have to reboot my system.

They patched Skyrim, fallout 4 and 76. They are a big enough studio that I have no reason to believe they’d just release it and move on. I’m not talking about changing what the game is. I’m just talking about technical patches to do some bug fixing.

Yeah I bet everyone needed a break after they finally launched. Hopefully the r&r helps them come back fresh to knock some of these issues out.

That’s where I’m at. I’m excited to be able to play again but I have to wait for however long it takes them to release a patch addressing this. I’m not mad about anything I’ve seen. But I literally can’t play a game that I can’t trust to save and be reloaded.

Normally, I’d fully recommend that but I still want to play the game. I was actually really enjoying myself. I’ll just wait until they actually issue a patch. I’m a little shocked not even one hotfix has gone out.

I wonder if this has anything to do with not being able to load my saves. I went to mars and exited the game after a long gaming session. Came back the next day and I get a full system crash upon trying to load the exit save. Tried the autosaves, same deal. Tried my last normal save, same deal. Every once in about 5-6 full system crashes I can reload one of the saves from just landing on mars but if I try to enter caledonia then it’s a full system crash. It’s weird too, I can still hear the game running in a loop but I can tell there is no input and the graphics fully fail. Very frustrating. I finally got back to my main rig to be able to play and the game has just been straight not playable since about the day after it came out. Can’t even get a hotfix from Bethesda. Bummer. I’ll just have to wait to play it again. I’m not going to restart a new character just to run into the same thing.

I just picked up the homework bundle but I’ve never played them. I also picked up Warhammer 40k mechanicus, which I own on PS5 but I’ve switched back to PC with the steam deck.

Darkest dungeon dungeon should be playable with only one hand available.

I’m excited. The demo ran well enough on steam deck that I know it’ll be great on my desktop.

Full disclosure, I played it when it hit PS5 but if you enjoyed it when you played it, I don’t see why it wouldn’t still be enjoyable. I didn’t do multiplayer though.

No idea why you’re being down voted. Ace combat 7 absolutely slaps.

Hopefully it runs okay on steam deck. I have a nice desktop at home but I’m usually out of town working and I use my steam deck as my main rig these days until I go back home.

That’s an awesome bundle. I think all I’m missing on steam is just 0, 7 and 8. 0 regularly goes down to 5 or 10 and I’ve played through both 7 and 8 on PS5 but I’ll buy them again at some point. I don’t really have a favorite developer but Capcom leads by a huge margin of games I’ve bought, rebought and actually beaten, usually more than once by a large margin.

So does this mean they are adding monsters to combat into the game? I always thought scum looked cool but I never knew how fun it would be as a solo player.

That’s really cool. I’m still pretty excited for lies of p. That game is pretty damn cool.

I’m always bopping around different games but this is one I usually always have installed so it’s good to hear that the update sounds like a big success. I’ve never tried it multiplayer but I bet it’s a hoot.

Barony is so so good. And it works really well on steam deck. Gamepad works great. I still have to try out this new update to see how the changes to relative selections works out. They listed that you don’t need to be dead on with the cursor for contextual actions to work anymore. Such as opening a chest, or picking up items, that kind of thing. I bought this game a long time ago and it’s such a sleeper dungeon crawler.

Yeah, I ran it mostly low settings, fsr and probably between 30-40 fps. So for tons of people that’d be a no go, but I was just excited to play it before I could get back to my rig.

Yeah two months ago, they basically had patched a majority of the week 1 disappointment. So for me, I had a fresh and reasonable experience. So many studios are releasing under optimized games and patching after sales start.

I ran it a couple months ago on a Ryzen 5600x paired with ab6800xt. Game ran brilliantly. I also really enjoyed it. I just didn’t go in expecting it to be dead space. I wanted something new and a little different and that’s exactly what I got. I was surprised I could even play it on steam deck.

Do you just use the trackpads and a custom control scheme or is it friendly enough with the controller setup? That’s pretty cool either way.

Do you mean handheld or while docked with m&k? I didn’t think it had gamepad controls.

Look at games like high fleet and mech engineer on PC. They have kinda non-standard UI.

I’m definitely the weirdo on this one. The fine tuned controlling is way better on m&k but I couldn’t get the hang of it. The analog stick for movement felt a lot more intuitive to me but you definitely have considerably less control aim. The lock on feature works pretty well so I make it work.

I really like this game. I think most people play with mouse and keyboard but I found myself too used to the using a controller because I play it on steam deck. You can get pretty into fine tuning your individual parts but I leaving everything stock and just go blast some rocks in space and keep stacking cash.

Very well, in both game mode and if you plug into a 1080p monitor at a desk.

I should probably give it a shot. I bet I’d probably like it. I like most of the soulslikes I’ve played. Mortal shell was interesting as well but it was brutal and stiff. Still a cool game though.

I never played the original but the trailers for the sequel look really interesting. It’s on my radar along with lies of p which I actually really enjoyed the demo for.

Yeah kind of an interesting take on a “The Giver” style of graphics. Other games have since had similar presentations which is neat.

I have got to try this game again. I bought it a long time ago and probably only put 2 hours into it. Super weird but interesting game.
