I keep people repeating this, but where are you getting this information from? I’ve never seen this claim before, and I’ve not noticed this happening when I’ve used itch in the past either?
I’ve noticed a ton of accusations of itch doing seemingly a bad thing after another, and so far all of those claims have turned out wrong. Please give a source at least!

But also don’t forget that the amount of gamers is larger today than in 2013. Gaming is much more mainstream, and so even 97% of the install base is still disappointing considering steam grew by, what, 3x or something in terms of average monthly users?
Another source I found is that the amount of total gamers grew by roughly 50% from 2013 to 2025. But yeah, I just did a quick skin numbers are not precise
But still, 97% is disappointing considering the general demographic was supposed to grow. And then, in reality, it’s just 67% too

If they were on the position to produce it, they would have. I highly doubt they chose to not make high end cards “just because”, especially because that’s where the profit margins would be the highest
I think that you’re simply expecting a bit too much, and a little too far ahead in terms of your requirements. 4K RT 120fps is something that’s just barely starting to get achievable at the absolute highest end, and even then not without compromises

I mean, the thing that people watch twitch for is mainly the person/people on the stream, the game is a backdrop, rarely the actual focus
And not everyone is ego-centric like you’re saying? I mean, there’s literally tens of thousands of streamers. Don’t just look at the biggest ones that probably mainly appeal to kids, i.e. a different audience than you. Chances are the kind of people you would enjoy watching are just smaller and more niche

The big difference is that the DayZ standalone title was controlled by Bohemia Interactive, Rocketwerkz meanwhile is Dean’s studio.
I mean, I get that I don’t have an insider view or anything, but Rocketwerkz has proven itself reliable
In addition, DayZ is like a decade or more old, even in the worst case things might just change

Definitively not, this is something that tends to occur at low skill levels in MOBAs, but gets better at higher levels as people figure out how to actually play the strategic layer
I’ve lost plenty of lanes but came back in the midgame, there’s a lot to do throughout the game, early, middle, and late. It’s also about your team being able to adapt to the circumstances and execute the correct strategy at the right time taking into account the situation for your team
And people struggling to do this is just a natural part of a competitive game, really. And sure, snowballing is a thing, but so are comebacks.
The game was originally planned to be a PvE only game, but the game wasn’t fun according to the data by their playtesters
There’s work that is involved in properly making and balancing and creating content for a different mode. You design the entire game around how you play it, in those case PvPvE. So no, they shouldn’t. And neither should devs be forced to make a game they don’t want to make. If you remove the PvP from the game as-is, you will lose out on a lot of what the game is supposed to be, and the interactions and moment-to-moment gameplay you have. Not to mention you’re gonna split the playerbase which is rarely healthy for a multiplayer game.
There’s a reason PvP is included, and that’s because it a straight up impossible to implement the sort of dynamism and unpredictability PvP adds.
There’s not a lot of games like Arc Raiders, and it is the kind of game that I want. Not every game is, or should be made, for everybody. That’s how you get the sort of environment of undifferentiated AAA games where they all look and play the same all designed by committee to appeal to the greatest amount of possible to earn as much as possible
