Epic games store is honestly quite decent m8 I’ve been using it since 2020. Some of the good things I’ve noticed on epic games is

• free games

• alot of the sales for games can be cheaper than steam sales

It’s hardly no different to steam gog or any other game launched out there although it lacks official linux support which is a negative in my books when it comes to privacy I’ll argue they’re both as bad as each other if you think your being smart by avoiding epic games because it’s owned by tencent and your concerned for your privacy then you should stop using steam ubisoft ea gog and the many other launchers as well they’re both as invasive when it comes to your privacy as the other plus hear me out… YOUR NOT THAT IMPORTANT I’m not sure the feds are coming after a 32 year old IT tech support worker because he said wrongthink on a tiny social media network

If your still super paranoid first uninstall all your game launchers then maybe pirate and look into foss alternatives or try GOG out you can install games on the Web without a launcher and the games don’t have invasive drm

I wonder if people might start making there own drivers for these amazing vr headsets

pc gaming is the way to go nowadays with Cheap games on steam and free games on epic games sometimes on gog plus playing online is free and nowadays you can build yourself a very cheap rx 480/570 miners are trying get rid of there stock i5 4450/i7 3770 pc for very cheaply pair that with a 60gb ssd and above for a boot drive and a 1tb hdd and your gaming

Honestly this is an awesome update shame they didn’t implement real time shadows like nvidia did with quake 2 as that’ll go hand in hand with the new steamdeck

A device having Windows is a deal breaker? seems like an odd requirement to have set in stone couldn’t you plug in a USB stick with linux loaded on and install your linux distribution of choice onto these gadgets

Windows ce looks like an interesting operating system being ran on almost anything I’m pretty sure they ran this on some cad infotainment systems

Project zomboid might quench that thirst with its farming foraging and fishing mechanics it’s a really good game I’ve put 860 hours into it myself since buying it in late 2018

Depends an rtx 2060 costs around £120 nowadays pair this with a cheap sandy bridge ivy bridge quadcore 8gb of ram or 16 if your feeling fancy and a 256gb ssd and 1tb hdd and you got yourself a decent computer

$250 can land you one hell of a budget gaming pc pair this with copious amounts of free games from the epic game launcher and no paying for subscriptions and you’ll be saving alot in the long run

Yep exactly this I’m using an i7 3770 and 10gb ddr3 In my own rig I intend on buying a rx 560 for it as an upgrade for my current gpu

Yep a couple of times never completed the campaign tho I’ve gotten 600hrs in the game I tend to troll around and dabble in some griefing I mainly play on mutitplayer servers

Depends if you do your research and look for the right deals both used and new you could get an decent pc built with around the same performance as current gen consoles for less than used current gen xbox series x also you don’t have to pay up the ass for online subscriptions fees generally it’s upto you and your personal preferences though some people prefer consoles and some people people prefer pcs

Generally though in my experience computers are always cheaper in the long term and get better support as well not having to pay for online and having storefronts such as gog and epic games which give out free games makes pcs a hell of alot worth it to me

I can see why the game is really good I got the game on my phone and tend to play it every so often its really fun I tend to have a whale of a time

But disrupting a major event/traffic or attempting to destroy a priced piece of art with soup out of all things makes you and your organisation look like a massive pile of shit there are way way way better ways of protesting such as picketing as you said or rallys if you bring enough people say 200 or 300 you’ll appear on the social media and prehaps local and regional news prehaps if you make a large enough splash you might sway the general public to your cause

Well There’s plenty of ways of protesting and getting the word out that don’t involve getting in the way or destroying/nicking property you can have peaceful demonstrations ideally populated like a city square where you and a massive crowd of people gather and make your voices heard im fairly certain that’s called a rally or you use art as a way of protesting graffiti etc you can also boycott a organisation or government institution and you can do a picket protest as well
