Do you promise to never add season pass, premium currencies, lootboxes or anything of the sort?

If yes, count me in!

Lol it wont even show me the demo without logging in

Ah…it’s all command line…no thanks.

I’m looking for a private, personal, music steaming too…

Is jellyfin easy to set up?

I was interested in the Pine64 for its very low price, i mean, even if I don’t like it, i didn’t spend much on it.

But then… Why would i pay for a device that gives me more notifications??

My phone has no notification sound, not even vibration, I hate being distracted while I am in the middle of something!!

I want less notifications, not more!!

What Garmin are you using?

I could look into a watch that needs to be recharged never every few weeks.

I was also interested in glucose monitoring, but the Samsung watch7 only gives an estimate.

The technology is still way behind.

But then, why not get an external portable monitor connected to the smartphone?

Well, i guess so.

By that logic, an external, portable screen connected to the smartphone is even more functionality!

I guess that is what I am doing: searching for a use case, but the smartphone remains undefeated!

The only use case that I can find is to use it as a backup laptop: in the event I lose or break the laptop, i could get by with a tablet.

Although i could also get by with the smartphone 🤔

Problem is, smartwatches don’t even track right. The tracking features are symbolic at best, and vary wildly between manufacturers!

This makes no sense.

There is a reason both us are on Lemmy, but It still doesn’t make sense to compare software to hardware.

Its not about opinions. I am asking actively: WHY? why do you use a tablet or smartwatch?

What stava things?

I’ve never used stava, but I do have a bike

In this day and age people forget their phones?

I refuse to believe it.

But you can do a lot less stuff, and in very uncomfortable way!!

Tablets and smartwatches… Why?
Why do people spend money (and quite a lot of it) for devices that have less functionality than a smartphone? * Tablet is just a bigger screen, but not same power like a laptop. * Smartwatch is just tracking device that sends even more of your personal data. And BOTH are another battery that you have to worry about.

Why don’t you listen while you are working?

It seems to me you have bigger issues, that stem from a dopamine addiction.

Nah those people know they are doing something wrong.

Break free of your dopamine addiction.

So whenever I am exercising I can skip the quiet part and go straight to the high energy part

You think I will answer after you tease me like that?

Thanks anyway

Sir this is lemmy/c/android

Hello i am searching for a music player with some specific features. So far I've been using "AIMP" because it shows me the spectrogram of the song, when it's quiet, loud etc. You can see what it looks like in the attached picture Is there a FOSS application that does this?

Alternative to “sleep as android”
I'm looking for an alternative to "sleep as android" as its not FOSS. What I would like is the customising that "sleep as android" offers: -alarm that rings at a specific time during weekdays, and another time during weekends -alarm sound that gradually increases volume -alarm chooses from a selection of songs, with shuffle.

To carry the backup data to another phone If it fails.

To have my high quality music and movies with me, at all times.

Why need storage at all?

Have the thing connect to the Internet to do even basic tasks like answering the phone.

A mainframe of sorts.
