Thinking about the question I realized that my favorite game of all time (Secret of Mana) is actually not the best game I have ever played.
The game I have played for the most hours and shaped my life more than any other (World of Warcraft) is also not the best game I have ever played.
The game peaking at number 2 for most enjoyment and most time played for me is Diablo2.
For reference the best game I ever played probably has to be Minecraft, coming in at 3rd :)
