Personal opinion here ! I think we shouldn’t think of setiency in a human way. Like every animal being can see but most of them don’t see the same way we are. Or trees can communicate with each other, but not in the same way as we are.

We should broader our spectrum of possibilities and stop thinking in a binary way when talking about the world that surrounds us.

It might be in a year, or maybe in a 100 years, but if machine sentience is even possible, it is inevitable.

I agree, not only is it inevitable it will also be our own demise. I think of it like our own body (at some degree) is protecting us from external threat to keep us safe. Specially now they are playing arround with neurons on SoCs. The question is not “IF” but “WHEN”. There will be a point of no return where AI will be infinitely more “intelligent” we will ever be, where it can feed it’s own data and controls everything related to information and change things to it’s liking.

Most people would say, just unplug that machine ! But what if It could spread through our own media and replicate itself through all our hyper connected space?

The limit is our own imagination. But if it wants to survive, It would know It should keep discrete and hide until the right time to strike. Because nobody wants to be a slave controlled by others.

Just my 2cent.

Thanks :) I don’t hate on consoles, they are cool stuff, however I get angry on all those stupid marketing terms just to sell you 20 more fps or some new fancy AI upscaling to fake some 4k quality on 90% of games.

Be it Microsoft, Sony or whatever… Just plain stupid marketing liars…

Don’t call it next-gen. Thats just marketing bullshit for enhanced previous generation.

There wasn’t any real improvement since ps1 release. It’s only getting slightly better in graphics, fps, color management, AI upscaling. That’s all, nothing more.

We are slowly hitting a roadblock of graphical evolution… The “real” next-gen would be something that will leave you jaw dropping, like it did with the first ps1 release. That was a next-generation release.

Right now they are just trying their best to sell some little improvement here and there calling it next-gen console… Humpf !

It’s was a really strange mix of puzzle and brainfucked mechanics. The story was original and something new/fresh.

I really hoped for a sequel or a reboot… The new IP is just ‘meh’… nothing special about it… Or maybe I’m just getting old and nostalgia is kicking in ^^

At first I was happy that sony finally ported games to PC, but I never though they would force PSN to the PC gaming community…

I would have paid for every game they would have ported, to encourage crossplatform release.

With PSN in mind, I will probably just pirate their game and call it a day. 🖕

Thank you :) Also good to know it’s RISC-V (five roman number).

How is it pronounced? Like every letter or more like risk-5?

Nobody is talking about how games look sharper? Looking at 1080p vs 1440p side by side, you can clearly see the difference on how the textures look less “pixelated” and more rounded up.

It looks like you have a better AA effect and better color management (depends on your pannel though).

I really enjoy/see the change from 1080p to 1440, but you clearly need good enough hardware to make it run smoothly. It’s vram hungry and GPU demanding.

It wouldn’t be that way if there wasn’t any reason to eat that much more vram and GPU resources… Higher resolution textures

This seems like something Kojima would say haha !! But it applies to every new “next-gen” game/console convention/livestream with big publishers/editors.

Tired of those fumbling buzz words that doesn’t reflect the actual real gaming experience anymore, but rather the investors deep pockets.

Thankfully we have indie games and they mostly have way better time/investement/amusement ratio !
