You could try the demo on GeForce now this weekend. That’s where I played it.

Was not aaaa

Did not look like a 2024 game.

Might be fun and sure I’ll buy 80% off.

Bit of 50% playerbase does that. No way that they stay afloat

Yeah but their stock is tanking. Just released a game that’s been in the works for 7 years that’s shit.

Claimed it’s aaaa which is just wank and people will refuse to buy their products.

They have negative media attention from yanking online games.

Bad sakes from ac games.

They are a big company and I think they are about to be a lot smaller

No. Not usually. Some work and some don’t. What would be useful is some os seem to have a sandbox. So everything works in it. Then you have the rest of the phone separate

The games are incredibly expensive. As nobody but Nintendo sell them. There are far fewer games to choose and they are lower quality.

Don’t get it at all. But that’s why I’m not running the companies

Very much looking forward to this. Pissed I have to buy it for a third time. Bought original for PC many moons ago. Then the same version on steam. Then the remastered version on steam. And will again be buying the re re re mastered version on steam.

Trying to get refund from seller. If not I’ll get the site involved. Just doo much hassle. Shame you can’t get company to unlock it. Very wasteful

Was from a knock off eBay. No contract. I’ll just send it back.

All good. Cheers

I mean obviously but I can just report the sale. It’s on a well known site and I think stolen things get quick responses. It was going cheap and then a phone company knocked the price up. Meaning they can unlock it.

Potentially but I think it’s pretty unlikely. Looking at similar sellers and the sellers other listings. They buy in bulk insurance write offs and sell the products for profit.

Can’t take screenshots due to security policy. Obviously patched that workaround

No response from them. I’ll keep trying.

Literally all I’ve seen. I asked if it was stolen and they stayed it was an insurance situation. So Im waiting on a response. I was hoping it was unlocked. If not I’ll request refund. However I’ll have lost 30 to pay 30

Isn’t that the rub though. Lose out either way. I send it back and barely recoup my costs. Or take it to someone who then charges 30 potentially more to unlock.

Galaxy S10. Bought it from an online seller. Would just send it back. I would lose out regardless. I paid 60. It cost 15 to send. Another 15 to send back. Only save myself 30.

I’ve factory reset so no chance any of that would work

Is it an actual thing. Or is it a scam ?

Android security
Quick question. I bought a phone and it's locked. Factory reset but requires the previous owners google to unlock. It's an insurance sale. I have asked the seller to update me on any info but haven't had a reply. Is the phone a very expensive brick ?.
fedilink

Just tried it. Seems to work fine.

I generally eat the same stuff everyday so I just auto add.

Use it to keep macros on days I deviate

Really enjoyed valheim. Not sure it was my fave but really enjoyable. A game I can just keep going back to.

Again I don’t disagree. I think untill gamers or consumers lobby the industry, we will keep getting shafted. None of those things listed help the consumer. Maybe patches and new updates but not if it doesn’t ship with a completely unbroken game

Mate I got it. I have all the free games from epic.

My point was that it’s not a “game” in the traditional sense. Anything online that requires a launcher is a licence.

Similar to me “purchasing” a film on prime. I don’t actually purchase the film, I purchase a license to access the file solely through their system.

They can revoke or lose that license and I lose access. Different to me buying a DVD and I can use it whenever I want as long as I have a DVD player.

I agree. I was just following on the point from above. It is shit that we can’t buy from company. I bought the game 10 years ago. Bit of double dipping. I’ve rebought a bunch of older games.

I was going to say. This is probably the opposite. Unfortunately once epic goes down. Because of their awful launcher you won’t actually be able to use it

It’s not a free game. It’s a license to access a file through the epic launcher. They really shouldn’t be able to sell it as a game. It’s inaccessible without epic.

You need to read a step by guide and follow the steps.

YouTube a few vids and just follow along. That should answer most of your questions

Sweet. Do I need anything extra for a pi. I know from previous tinkering they had miniscule storage. Would I need new drivers and such ?

Think it would work or a raspberry pi ? I just downloaded the standard fastboot and adb files. I have the correct drivers as I downloaded the nexus 7 ones. Laptop recognizes tablet. I can access the internal files and get the security message. Terminal gives me error message

Doesn’t understand adb as command. In yellow font. After the first word it changes back to white font. I can’t run adb devices as it won’t run any command.

Was thinking might be work laptop with firewall preventing debugging.

True. Be better if they made it easier. More would do it.

I wouldn’t say it’s easy. I expect 90% of people have never touched a command prompt. It takes me she’s just to find the thing. Need to download all the files then start commands.

Once you’ve unlocked and got TWRP it’s really easy.

If phones would just preinstall TWRP and be unlockable. That would free up all the issues. Then it’s just transferring files over. Noice and simple

I’ll try this. Is it any different than the standard adb ? I tried android studio as well. It authenticed the tablet but wouldn’t let me do anything. All terminals didn’t seem to recognize the tablet. Or I was doing something wrong. I downloaded the fastboot and adb files. Hold shift right click open terminal.

I’ve flashed plenty lineage and cynomod before. Haven’t run into this before.

I have 15 tabs open and 9 YouTube videos.

It’s hard work.

First things.

Download fucking everything.

Then start

Unlock OEM

Unlock bootloader.

Need to know how to access terminal. Run commands

It’s really complicated. Would be nice if they made it easier.

Maybe someone can help me. Tried to unlock bootloader on my nexus 7 tablet. I can get the laptop to recognize the tablet but everytime I try to run adb the text is yellow. It then doesn’t recognize the adb command.

Nothing works in a system failure. It’s a system failure.

They can only play their download games if it doesn’t need to access steam for a reason. Yeah you can go get a Nintendo 64 and play a game. Modern games require an internet connection. Yeah it’s a downside to it but it’s like saying you can’t play when it’s a powercut. It’s what board games say to video gamers.

Also true. An issue that has just come up with Ubisoft. They have discontinued a game. No way to access it. That’s probably the most legit point.

Very true. Look at Sony. Look at discovery. They aren’t refunding. Are you calling them failures ?

They don’t have as good as first but they do obviously have some capacity. Plus you can use data. Obviously very expensive using data but you save not buying the console. It’s still where I think Google should have pushed. America didn’t want or need stadia. Same with Europe.

The games were discounted and you got free games in the paid tier. 10er a month for games. Not the worst deal.

Which is where they went wrong. They didn’t get the numbers as people already had gaming units that were better and faster… the issue

But it did I work. I used it. Many other used it. It was cloud gaming. What hadn’t been accomplished before.

That was an issue. However many companies aren’t profitable in their first few years. The toll out was a complete mess. Also as stated they chose wrong. I get why they picked murica. Infrastructure was always going to be an issue but that’s not where you get people looking to save money and not buy a console. Third world would have been the sweet spot. A rig they can play red dead for pennies.

They opened it up to phones and with Enough bandwidth you could play games you’d never manage before.

Yes but long run. Nobody thought Google was going to saunter in and beat the big Bois. Takes time to build a playerbase get the product actually working and improve it. None of that happened in first year.
