I tried haste, it has a great concept but the demo didnt show how far it can be taken. Had fun runnin’ though, feels like a better 3d sonic. Idk if its featured in the steam next, just wanted to share :)

I think it comes down to cognitive effort, and dopamine release. Some people like to spend their time indulging in lore that would fill up several books, others like seeing explosions on their screens every minute or so. More power to both parties, we have choice nowadays anyways.

I used to love theses long rpgs, but nowadays I like grinding some boars and ripping off their snouts for whatever pointless quest in wow. But I did love playing the original fallout 1 and 2, diving deep into its mechanics. Really loved spending an absurd time into the

Its funny, I did buy pillar of eternity a while ago, and got so overwhelmed by the prospect of having a seemingly multi day game that I just turned it off, pretty convinced that it would monopolise my time if I gave it a fair shot, something that would have shocked me as a kid (think of the dollar to time ratio!!!)

I really like this angle of the story. Re series is my fav right after subnautica, and this looks different which after the whole slew of remakes is so refreshing! Im actually excited! (I didnt mind ethan winters in 7 but 8 got to be too much, i enjoy changing protagonists for once or introducing new blood)

Tbh once i got through the boring introduction, I spent more time ffing around than actually progressing the story. If you do jobs instead of the main story, and consider that as the main gameplay loop the replayability is insane.

The real problem is how the game tries to funnel you into finishing the game, like the main quest is always there occupying the quest log when you open it, everytime you do a gig it defaults back to it etc…

Honestly the game is more fun imo when you are just running/driving around interacting with the world and accidently doing gigs rather than bee lining the story.

I really hate that there isint any new game + and that they cap levels. They should add a bigger spike of difficulty too.
