The game has a global war that is going on. Every game adds or removes capture points from the world you fought on.

They could have let you play without that but everything is tied in including your player advancement.

The first time one of these lemmy servers gets hit with official court papers thing will no doubt change. A big part of the operation budget (well maybe not so big of a percentage but big as in price) is to hire a legal team to handle stuff like this and juggle international laws.

I imagine a few lemmy instances will be killed by things like this.

A couple of days? BG3 started letting people play the Alpha almost 3 years ago (october 2020) if you pre-ordered.

For now. But if they the majority of market share things will change.

I’m against it. Microsoft has for years been trying to move everything to subscription based. This is how they kill standard game ecosystems. Its like a walmart going in. They function at a loss until they kill all competition. Then they corner the market and dramatically raise prices. They want office 360 for games and in the end we all suffer because they get to decide which games are on the pass and how long.

I’m excited for a few of these games but im not sure I have the time to download the demos and play them. Might be able to get one or two over the weekend I guess.

One Lonely Outpost looks like it could be a cool futuristic stardew valley with a colony management sim thrown on it.

Moonstone Island looks like another good take on SDV. (I like farming games…)

Jumplight Odyssee also looks good. Been following it since the announcement last year?

Pacific Drive also looks fun.

Hammerwatch II. First one was pretty fun coop game.
