I read it in this particular cinematic as a choice that this is OUR world, dominated by brands and massive companies. And it’s still the same ones even in this future.

Kinda like how it’s a different feeling when you see a Coke ad and an Atari ad in Blade Runner rather than seeing a generic in-universe copyright free brand.

That and this feels like something that could easily change in the main game

Just keep pecking at it! Unravel each thread until you’re stuck then grab a hint from somewhere and keep going, I had to come back to Outer Wilds after starting it once initially and giving up, and I’m glad I finished it. Especially the DLC.

To quote a legendary sbemail:

That is not a small number! That is a big number!

I haven’t seen a case since like 2014 that didn’t have the cable management on the other side but like like OPs case doesn’t. Hard to tell from here

Was thinking of adding those but wanted to keep it HL specific. But yes the Portals are must plays. Pretty much perfect games. I remember watching the ending of 2 over and over because it was so dope.

If you’re like me and wondering where the little burlap doll guy is, you’re thinking of LittleBigPlanet. The platformer on the PS3. But this also looks cool.

Interesting, I haven’t actually played HL1 but I enjoyed BM a lot, and figured it’d be the better reccomendation for someone just getting into HL.

What parts of the atmosphere do you think BM missed? When I watched videos of HL1 gameplay it seemed that BM did a great job having a graphically updated but similar vibe

Imo the best enjoyment to time ratio is:

  1. Black Mesa (the Xen level at the end was redone and extended compared to in HL1 and it’s cool but if it starts to drag just move on)

  2. HL2 (main game)

  3. HL2: EP1 start it but maybe skip and watch a playthrough if you get bored

  4. HL2: EP2

  5. HL Alyx, if you can play it on a decent headset. DO NOT MOD IT TO PLAY IT WITH MOUSE/KB it will be extremely boring since it’s designed for VR

Have fun, there’s simply nothing else like Half-Life games

Having recently played through Hifi Rush after the studio closed, it reads very differently when you know the characters who go up against Vandalay and Kale, the most corporate of corporations and evil CEO, are killed by a real life evil corporation.

This is great news and even makes playing through the 1st game more enjoyable knowing we’re (hopefully) getting more!
