5 million gold costs about 220 bucks right now. If I’m not mistaken that was the price of the AH mount back in BFA, no?
90 bucks for this mount is actually at a massive bargain, we’re talking 40% of what it’s actually worth. Like I get it, you think it’s scummy but… idk, if I still played WoW I would probably buy it - and I doubt I would regret it. That being said, I do not play anymore and will not come back for the mount lol.
Like, technically speaking they could charge double what they’re asking and it would still be cheaper than the BFA AH mount.
Edit: Mad because bad at math.
BotW completely changed the open world landscape. Yes it was a bad Zelda game, it was by no means a mediocre game. That first experience is fucking magical, and has been recreated to great effect in Elden Ring and Genshin Impact (I shouldn’t need to point out how popular both of those games are).
You can dislike that it was a bad Zelda game. Calling it mediocre is just patently false. Granted, yes - I’ve called the game ‘Horizon: Zero Awards’ because it definitely should have won at least something. However, it was not more impactful than BotW.
Bungie splits from Activision.
Releases Shadowkeep.
Shadowkeep: is awful.
Releases Beyond Light.
Marginally better with graphical improvements, but sunsetting content you paid for - so still pretty bad.
Releases Witch Queen.
Witch Queen is much better than both Shadowkeep and Beyond Light. Great ground floor, seemingly a starting point after the Activision split debacle.
Lightfall
Not only did Lightfall happen, we learned that most of the good content in Lightfall was purposefully removed from Witch Queen because they didn’t want to ‘overdeliver’.
Have not played Final Shape, don’t know anything about it - mainly because I had enough of the game after the above. Bungie has been a terrible company for years. Do their devs deserve death threats for it? Absolutely not. Does the company deserve to crash and burn? Abso-fucking-lutely.
No I just don’t read what you’re saying, mainly because I’ve got better things to do with my time than to read a nobody bloviate about something they don’t understand. Your experience doesn’t matter, do you know why?
I’ve refuted your claim that it’s somehow all the publishers fault. You, for some reason, think that Bungie releasing a terrible expansion the first time they’re free from a publisher somehow doesn’t obliterate your argument.
You’re absolutely sealioning btw, you can keep the corpo speak to yourself. I’m not reading it, because it’s just a waste of my time. There are plenty of devs to defend, Bungie is not one of them.
Invasions aren’t toxic. You’re brute forcing a game balanced around solo play by abusing action economy and boss aggro. You can, at any time, start a boss and boot someone. Not to mention the overwhelming advantage you have over the invader should you choose to fight them.
It could, literally, not be more in your control.
you’re obviously someone who is completely and willfully ignorant to what goes into game development
Icing on the cake? Shadowkeep is the first expansion dropped by Bungie for d2 without Activision. It is also widely acknowledged as the worst expansion. Congratulations, you’ve written an essay and proven you just shouldn’t be weighing in on this. At all.
The more words you use in your next essay won’t help, you don’t know what you’re talking about. It’s almost like you got an AI to spit this out with how much cherrypicking you do. What’s the term for a sealion that weighs in on something they know nothing about?
Bungie shits in your mouth, consistently, over the course of D1’s life cycle.
“No it’s not Bungie, it’s Activision!”
Bungie splits from Activision in D2
Proceeds to release Shadowkeep
“Crickets”
Fast forward to Lightfall.
“Noooo, it’s Sony! Sony is at fault!”
God damn, the excuses Destiny players make for what is a shit company will never cease to amuse me. Idk what Bungie’s collective cum tastes like but it must be fucking ambrosia considering the lengths the community goes to defend them. That corpo-speak in the TWABs is puttin’ in work!
No he’s got several great points.
Sweet Baby Inc is trash, every game they’ve touched is a dumpster fire.
The things he points out makes it pretty clear that they use inclusivity and “wokeness” to mask how talentless they are, which is actually pretty common throughout the gaming industry these days. Not just the gaming industry either, the Harley Quinn show was a checklist of ‘woke’ talking points (and trash, another good example is Velma although Velma was pretty mask off in their biases).
Case in point, Hades 2. We go from male protagonist Zagreus in the first game, to female protagonist Melinoë in the second. Guess what? Not a single time am I found questioning the validity of the writing because it’s actually good and doesn’t hinge on echo chamber synchronization.
Idk, I think he probably hinges on ‘the message’ too hard but he isn’t wrong.
Dude they copystruck a small YouTuber back when Tarkov was first getting it’s feet for exposing that someone was mining bitcoin through the Tarkov client.
We’re talking like 40 videos copystruck for a single video, a video exposing something really really bad.
Then there’s the interview where Nikita openly admitted that cheaters are a part of their business model.
BSG is scumbags. Period, end of story.
They’re headquartered in London.
Parody is typically protected.
BSG absolutely pays for licenses, many of the gun manufacturers in Tarkov give devs the rights to use their guns for free - it’s literally advertising.
I know for a fact they pay for the Glock licenses, Glock will absolutely burn you alive for stepping on their toes. Same goes for HK.
Your comment is nice headcanon, but no.
Edit: downvoting me doesn’t make you right, trog.
I don’t think you give someone an A+ for doing 1% of the project really really well.
Like the Nazis were actually environmentalists. They also advanced medical science by decades. Do we praise them for it?
I don’t mean to invoke Nazis, but you get my point yeah? If the vast majority of the people who need the treatment cannot get it? That isn’t ‘both’ in my opinion.
A friend of mine was banned for the crime of having been invaded by a hacker. I guess I kind of get it, can’t really be made at them for not wanting to give everyone a headstart.
