I’m playing it for the first time at the moment as well! But on ps4.

It took me a little bit to get used to the slow pace in parts - almost closer to a sim. I’d just finished Horizon: FW, so the speed of movement was a big change. Now I enjoy the extra time to smoke weed and head-cannon my character.

The writing and plotting are the real treasure of the game so far. I’ve enjoyed the scenery and the views well enough, but I rarely find myself impressed by graphics.

WC3 also spawned the tower defense genre. But WOW just has a much wider and deeper influence, both in- and outside of video games.

When I was like 9 or 10 I thought our neighbor was at the door so I jumped out in my home made samurai pizza cats outfit, yelling “samurai pizza cats, they’re so bad!”, presuming that he was there to play samurai pizza cats.

Turned out to be a boy from my class at school collecting money for something. He proceeded to blackmail me, getting my lunch in exchange for keeping my dorkiness hush-hush.

When WC1 first launched the one selling point that everyone mentioned was that if you click on units enough times they get annoyed and say “stop poking me!”

Warcraft was always heavy on the whacky, that’s its whole thing.
