Not really. Hosting a website cost pennies and they probably want to keep the domain name.

I bet it’s not that uncommon either. Just yesterday, I remembered a game I saw years ago called ‘green project’ that was in early access at the time and wanted to check it out. so I went to look for it but it was gone despite the game still being sold on steam and being on version 1.4.2, but the last update was on 2022.

Last update 2020. I think the playstore delete games that don’t get any updates for some time. Just get the apk from an alternative store if you know what I mean.

When you long press an app a menu will pop-up with different icones. Remove the shortcut, widgets, uninstall the app, open the app informations (phone settings)(must have), open in playstore, edit the icon.

The short and buscar (search) button are app specific and are just shortcut to the app activities (i think it’s the right word for it). A camera app would probably have take image and take video instead,etc

I’ve been on an old version of nova launcher for several years now due to simple feature that is somehow unavailable anywhere else. When you open the search widget, it also shows a small 3 tab drawer that shows you the last 12 recently installed/updated, recently opened, and frequently opened apps. This made handling apps far easier.

Yeah, I saw a documentary about Huawei being the biggest pig meat supplier in china among other things. I meant technologically speaking. Huawei was really big here so I followed what was happening to them after the US cut of their supply of ARM chips. Chinese chips weren’t really the best at that time so even with the big internal market, they had to hibernate their technology sector until they started making good enough chips, and it paid off. Their tech is on par with the Snapdragon 8 gen 1 already. US sanctioning China, forcing it become a real competitors in the chip making industry ended being a Good thing for freedom of the market.

Not even a competitor, but a company that almost died a few years ago because it was locked from buying chips for its products.

I never tried using an usb to hadmi dongle but I always assumed that unless you confirm sharing the screen from the phone itself then nothing would be shown. I doubt old android versions even allowed sharing the phone screen.

Of course, there’s some softwares that use loopholes and exploites to extract data/unlock tge phone and other stuff ( basically what the police would use ) but they’re not cheap so the price would be high, and even then it’s not guaranteed.

I am actually interested in the keyboard of the dumbphone to, as i said before, play java games the way they were designed to be played since touchscreen is garbage.

The qin3 ultra match a lot of his demands for under 220$ but it’s lacking quite hard on some others( mainly camera ). What he’s asking for is a premium small sized phone but since it’s a niche product with limited sales, making a premium quality varient would make it a niche within a niche, so I highly doubt we’ll see it one day.

I’ve seen a lot of people on the web being interested in acquiring a small size phone and/or a dumb phone and during my research I found about this Xiaomi subsidiary called QIN that have recently dropped what basically look like the best dumbphone "qin f22 (actually runs android unlike Nokia garbage dumbphones) " and the best small size phone (5 inches ) “qin 3” on the market.

I haven’t bought any of the above since I can’t currently afford any of them but I know quality when I see it, and I doubt a new company that only sell such niche products would want to destroy its image by sending bad products.

Sorry, I don’t know the answer. I think it’s highly unlikely since encryption makes the data unreadable but I imagine it be possible to decrypt the data from inside the phone, backup it and then re-encrypt it after restoration. Still not that sure tho so you can search the net and see if it’s doable .

70$?? For a 17 years old game from a dead platform that might as well be abondonware and that has aged graphically like fine wine thanks to being 2D ? Why ? I would understand if the fan made translation was a subpar job and having the official translation would dramatically change the story but we both know the fan made translation had the same care put into it as religious texts and aside from very minor name changes the official translation wouldn’t be any better.

And then people would complain when they get fucked backwards by these greedier and greedier companies. How about giving that 70$ to a family member or charity or anything else really other than increasing the wealth of some Japanese shareholders ( the devs ain’t gonna get a cent from this money ), downloading the game and playing it using the carefully made fan translation.

No. Kinda…some apps can auto update via an alternative client but apps that target old android versions for compatibility purposes and to allow people to keep using their old phones aren’t allowed to auto update and instead require to be installed manually. Basically, a problem to lot open source apps since they want to serve the maximum of users, not force them to buy a new phone.

I don’t know at which version this start affecting the app but knowing Google it’s some bullshit random version like 9 or something.

Same. I was actually relieved to beat the first boss thinking it was the end but i was sent to another planet or something. Played a few minutes and it’s the same gameplay. I quit the game and deleted it.

I watch bluey with my 2 years old niece to teach her a foreign language and it’s one of the rare shows along miraculous where she can watch and ep or two before getting bored and deciding to go back to play with her toys instead. ( my sister made sure to not get her addicted to any screen but her husband got the kid slightly addicted to a few youtube songs anyways…🙃).

Bluey is a great show, but it leans to much on the “parents life amarite” side. I miss the old cartoons that were crazy and funny enough to keep kids watching but self aware enough to keep it watchable and enjoyable for the parents too, just like old cartoon network shows. We adults can enjoy some wackiness too.

Am not an expert but i think particles and physics are both calculated by the CPU. Both very intensive tasks. Graphic wise, from looking at the screenshot above, it seems they only lowered the quality of model and it looks awful because they went for realism. The not so easy fixable problem is the characters design, Switch games look cartoonish for a reason.
