Borderlands. Couch co-op with my brother was pretty much what videogames was to me as a kid, and borderlands was always our favorite. I can’t wait to have a platform I can play borderlands 3 and the tiny Tina game on with him over the Christmases when hes back in town (I know they’re not quite as good, thats perfectly okay)

These days, hollow knight is also genuinely very special to me. I don’t think there’s any game I hold in the same kind of place of reverence

Aves is the best I’ve used by far, I just use another app for editing. There’s a button to edit in the aves app and you can open a third party app conveniently that way

Quillnote is my pick, I just wish they let you indent list items- I’m used to using Keep to organize all the junk in my brain, and indentations were super helpful for that

This is probably overkill, but if you can’t find an app that’ll do what you want, this would be pretty easy to set up in tasker or macro droid. I have something similar but more complex set up for myriad medication reminders

You don’t want your ui to be 1980s beige, but like if the plastic has been sitting in a smokers house? Weird.

But yeah, this is material you. Its a feature that makes apps match the colors of your wallpaper, and if you go to “wallpaper and style” in the settings app (at least on my pixel 3, its possible it’d be somewhere else on a phone from a different manufacturer, or potentially even newer phones from google) you can pick other color options

I only use lemmy via mobile. There are tools available for redirecting on android also but its kinda nice to just have a link 🤷 I think it makes privacy more accessible

I rather liked the piped link bot. It was nice to always be presented with an option 🤷 but thats just me

You can try Kõnele and Kõnele service, they’re open source but honestly how to get them working is beyond me. Not sure what I’m doing wrong but I’d previously tinkered with them some but couldn’t get it working. If you figure it out I’d love to know what you find or any advice

Best of luck in your search :)

Huh, well that sucks. It may be worth trying to install as an apk; I’m not sure if there are other apps that do the same thing. I’m still on android 12 so iconzy still works just fine for me

Iconzy :)

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arun.kustomiconpack

Its worth knowing that icon packs intended to be dynamically reshaped (“adaptive” icon packs) may not play nicely with it. For me the icons from those icon packs show in the list (they take up space) but the icons themselves are invisible, making them unhelpful 😅.

If I understand the technical side of things properly, a proper filter (not just an overlay) has to be implemented at the system level, so I think your only options are going to be an overlay, or something that works via low level access like changing ROMs or root access :/

That was a misunderstanding- the zenphone line will still be a thing, as will the rog phone line. Both are continuing and will be supported same as they would be previously. There was a post on one of the android lemmy communities, maybe both, with the official statement from Asus

They’re actually continuing both phone lines. The long term support isn’t amazing but the zenphone line isn’t going away and will continue to be supported

Seconded on aves- Aves libre is definitely the best foss gallery app to my mind.

Quillpad is the most direct alternative. Though I’m sad it won’t allow indenting list items in a checklist, I really love that feature

I would desperately miss customization, and I’m hoping to increasingly move to open source options, so iOS wouldn’t really be a good fit for my needs

Honestly I quite liked googles earbuds, though mine are now starting to wear out (cable continuity) but they sound pretty decent to me

I’m looking forward to release!

I changed instances but am the same user you responded to.

I think that’s a pretty reasonable perspective to have at this point. Did you see the update gamers nexus did covering linus’s response on his forums? Linus implied some things in an offhanded way about the situation with the startup’s water block, and when gamers nexus checked with the startup, it made the way Linus framed things seems EXTREMELY explicitly dishonest. Honestly the situation seems to be getting worse, not better.

And one of the former ltt employees made a post on twitter explaining she had a horrible experience there and that the company treated her very poorly 🙃

Edit: grabbed the link to the Twitter stuff https://twitter.com/suuuoppp?t=DfjH-C3JIcxmlHQCsVKpVA&s=09 I really liked Madison :( sucks to know she was really mistreated
