I’m replaying the first Fallout since the show release and as much as I love it the controls suck. I would like to see a remaster that fixes that. Graphics are fine to me though.

I’m good. Not really interested in supporting Hasbro after all that’s happened since BG3 released.

I just wanted a remake of the original game. Instead they split it into multiple games as a cash grab. I stopped caring after the first one.

Just finished the first episode and I’m excited. Wife wanted to stop for the evening so I’ll have to wait until tomorrow but man I can’t wait to watch more this weekend. I especially liked the Brotherhood of Steal scene.

Edit: Brotherhood of Steel

It’s a net sum to me. The harm they have done to our society and planet far outweigh and good that has come with it. Technology isn’t inherently evil but these tech companies that only care about profit at all cost are.

Since when have any of these tech companies done anything but change the world for the worse?

My understanding is that the micro transactions can mostly be earned in game for free. That aside I have taken a stance and refuse to play any game that has them. They are cancer for gaming and I don’t want to support it in any form.

Awesome! Not bashing the game but the cyberpunk genre just doesn’t appeal to me. Really looking forward to this. I’m hoping they go with a different Witcher though.

It could if they were willing to modify their business model. They could have leaned into the game merchandise more but relying on used game sales was never going to be sustainable.

It literally won game of the year when it came out. How does that make it underrated?

I bought BG3 because Larian was doing it. I absolutely loved the Divinity games and knew they made quality products. It was cool to see a D&D game done so well but that was not the main selling point. I do hope that they revisit D&D one day to do a Ravenloft setting but I’m probably just dreaming.

Larian seems like a great company. This is exactly the type of game studio that we should be supporting with our money. I loved BG3 because of them, not because of the D&D licence.

Sometimes

There are tons of examples where a sequel or DLC have been great additions to a game or series.

Larian didn’t lay anyone off. Hasbro laid off WotC employees who were working on support for BG3. They have no power of Larian.

Great. Can’t wait for the inevitable layoffs because “games are too expensive” to make.

Supposed to be a patch coming but right now it’s unplayable on Switch.

My son keeps telling me to get it so we can play but every time I go up there he is waiting to get in.

I hope so. I don’t know much about the structure of the company but I was really disappointed with that news.

Most consoles have had a life span of 6 - 7 years. PS5 is just over 3 years. Talk about the PS6 all you want but if it releases before 2027 I’m waiting.

I just finished the three King’s Quest remakes by AGD Interactive this weekend. I am playing Fallout New Vegas now.

Especially after is won game of the year at the Game Awards. This seems pretty normal to me.

Just finished Baldur’s Gate 3 and then started Hogwarts Legacy.

Thanks! I didn’t realize it was on there for some reason. I’ll check it out.

I went to buy it yesterday and found out it’s not on steam. Looks like I won’t be playing it.

Some games are just better on PC. I can’t imagine playing Cities Skyline 2 on a console.

It’s fucking ridiculous that CEO’s make decisions that make players dislike a game or product yet the workers are the ones getting laid off. I doubt any of the regular employees had a say in the shitty DLC decisions.

Recent releases. In my opinion they haven’t released a good game in years. To be fair I have not played Starfield though. Space themes don’t really excite me.

I’ve honestly stopped caring at this point. There was a time when I would have preordered it but with Bethesda’s recent releases I will wait and see.

I am very excited about this. The original was the first horror game that I actually had to take breaks from because I was getting so scared. The story was pretty mind blowing.

Once you realize he never was clever, just wealthy, it starts to make more sense.

I don’t believe Bethesda can make a good game anymore. I lost hope for another good ES years ago.

I haven’t played the game but is it true that the ships cost real money? Do you also have to pay for the base game?

I feel you. I just started spending my work day in bed then playing games at night.

I honestly had no idea this game was still running. I thought it had died long ago. Not hating or anything. I’ve never played it. I just have not heard anything about it for a long time.
