Making a good game is hard. Making brainrot garbarge is easy, and people play it just as much. So what is the point? I knew a guy who was cheap as fuck. I didn’t know his girlfriend as well, but people said she was pretty much the same. Once i remember he made fun off someone spending like 60 dollars on a video game and he said he’s not a “gamer”. A few month later we talked about some video games that we liked and i didn’t really include him in that conversation because of what he said before.
He chimed in and said that he’s been playing clash of clans since release. Now i hardly even know what coc is, except mobile pay to win garbage (imo) so without even thinking, i asked if that game is even playable without spending money. He said oh no, he spends around 500 buchs a month. We were all shocked a bit, and he realised how ridiculous that is and immediately threw his girlfriend under the bus saying that she spends at least 1k a month for candy crush.
I found it extremely funny that todd said that planets are empty and boring, because irl, planets would be boring and and empty wastelands. Why do you make a boring game then todd? Are you stupid? Is that your dream game? Imagine you can make any videogame that you want and you go: i want it to be set in the middle desert.
Oh so there are gonna be pyramids, bandits and other points of interest?
No the desert is pretty empty and boring.
Oh, sounds pretty good.
I do not understand why Bethesda fans even deal with that shit. They must laugh their asses off every time someone doesn’t refund starfield.
The Wii U is the last console i bought and i still think it’s such a great concept that failed for no real reason. Playing a game on the tv and having the mini map on the controller screen for example is so cool. They could’ve made so many completely different and new games. But i think it’s just that no one really cared
I haven bought a call of duty since mw2, but ever since warzone i watch some videos on the new game, just to see what’s up. I watched a random video of a guy grinding for cameos, which apparently is a thing. He unlocked diamond which obviously looks absolute ass. But the best part was definitely that the skin is absolutely useless. The gold has a red sheen to it, so depending on the lighting it just blinds you in the fucking face. That’s how much they care.
I watched a video because i was curious since i have only played call of duty 4 and mw2 and then warzone. People talked about how the operators and skins didn’t transfer. That tells you everything about these games. They could all be dlc’s but then they couldn’t sell people new skins. And people actually buying them is pretty grim for gaming in general
The character selector said what characters were he/she or non binary. Which I don’t see the point to be honest, but hating a game because if it is laughably stupid. Maybe some people really want to play as non binary characters because that’s what they identify as, and more power to them. My new addiction is dethlock and my favorite character is dynamo, a fat robot gravity man. I don’t identify as any of these things.
I bever really got the guardians vibe, then i saw someone starting the game up and i had to laugh out loud. I don’t even think the game is absolute shit, just kinda boring. But what in the name of hod were they thinking? Just look and deathlock, valve cooked up an absolute banger, and even in alpha the game looks sick. I love the character design so much, the setting is on point and i was never into mobas at all and still somehow played 40 hours since last sunday
This was pretty much my experience. I played some browser game with friends, way before gatcha and mobile games. Gor today’s standards, the game was actually pretty good, but i started like a week or two later than my friends so i payed for a booster pack or something that was like 10 dollars and i immediately regretted it so hard. I almost felt sick and like an idiot.
I watched a documentary on Darksyde Phil. He managed to spend 44000 on a Wrestling gambling game per month.
I think the bright side is that you learned something even tho it was a 500 dollar lesson.
I used to work with a guy who was super cheap. Like i sometimes payed for his coffee or whatever, because i always did that with friends and co workers, and sometimes they would pay too. He never did that. One day we talked about video games and spending habits. He said he doesn’t play video games, but he played clash of clans. I didn’t really know what clash of clans is, aside from seeing some screenshots and seeing memes. He said that he spend 500-800 dollars a month on the game. It kinda blew me away, because i knew that whales often spend a bunch of cash on games, i just was a bit shocked about the amount and that it was HIM. He looked at me and said, oh that’s nothing, you should see what my girlfriend spends on candy crush.
I don’t really know a lot about gatcha games, the only one i played was some DBZ game, because i wanted to get back into DBZ, and shiny things. I never payed money for it, because honestly i didn’t really see the point, aside from it being an obvious waste of money, and at the end of the day, i never felt like i missed out of anything, because of maybe luck or just grinding or not caring enough.
anyway, i’m pretty sure they said what the odds are of pulling a specific card, and that it’s like in the 1% or 0.5% or whatever. But i don’t think that helps at all, because people who gamble like to game, no matter the odds.
What a lazy ass question
