You read my mind… I just spent an hour learning the basics and finally took off for the first time. Landed on a planet, got off the shuttle, walked on a wall and died a few steps in without even knowing why. The lack of quick save option is also a little frustrating. But I’ll keep at it for a while. Hopefully it pays off!
There’s a game called Journey which is… mystically beautiful? It’s mystical because it’s basically just a walking sim with a few puzzles to solve in between, but yet it really draws out the emotions. I’ve played many games like this but nothing trumps Journey yet.
It’s mostly single player but if you play it online, once in a while you’ll come across a fellow traveler from another instance whom you can share the journey with for a while, or not.
OK spoiler tag definitely doesn’t work haha. I’m using liftoff which comes with built-in tools for spoilers but it didn’t work too.
Transporter Trike is hands down my favourite vehicle in the game! It’s a shame that I had to stop using it once I got to the mountains. It’s just impossible to get S rank for premium LL time sensitive deliveries with them. Plus ziplines are immune to BTs.
To be honest I’d very much prefer riding the bike than zipping around. The latter was cool at the beginning but became too much of a chore later on and really breaks immersion for me. Would be nice if they could add some sort of snow bikes. Maybe we’ll see that in DS2.
It didn’t make sense to me that people are pre-ordering digital copies at first too, then I remember mtx and streamers which didn’t exist back then.
It’s the boiling frog syndrome. Gradual implementation of predatory monetization practices like mtx and gachas have made us grown numb to being treated like cash cows for unfinished products.
The latest generation of gamers probably see this as a norm. It’s up to us oldies to remind them about the good ol’ days when you only pay once for finished products.
Binding of Isaac and Death Stranding. I just keep going back to these 2 even after I’ve 100% them.
