They are currently installed locally, and I even played at least one while the internet was down.

I pretty much like Epic. I’ve gotten tons of free quality games for free that don’t have micropayment or tons of ads. Sure they might not be the newest version of the game, but there is something to be said about playing a game free from ads and not feeling like a second class citizen for not spending more on a “free” game than most people spend on rent and groceries combined.

A wise someone once said that if you can’t own anything, you can’t pirate anything.

Hoist the Jolly Roger!

Stuff like this is the strongest argument for a decentralized payment option. Hopefully some day crypto will not be so much a tool of monetary speculation and we can use it for that without having to have the same experience as the guy who bought a pizza with Bitcoin.

What kills me is in most cases you have to pay for the game, then you have to download the game, then install it and finally play it. It’s not.like the game is going to one day pop into your computer and then force you to play it.

Bottom line. If the game bothers ornoffends you just move on.

I used to love Mabinogi. It’s a bit different then most MMORPGs but it had some real cool features. My favorite is any character could learn any skill in the game. It also has a coherent story with some surprising plot twists. On to of that, you character ages and will even get fat if they eat too much. Haven’t played it in years, as well as any MMORPG for that matter, but this is one of the ones I have the fondest memories of.
