Just fyi, adb authorization resets like every 7 days by default. So if you hope to use your home PC to fix this you should not wait to long

For the future maybe get Termux, make it boot with your system, give it root access and setup ssh in there

And also please, for the love of good never download random TWRP images and install them to your phone. Same goes for Magisk and pretty much anything you do with root/in fastboot/in your recovery. This could open up a HUGE vulnerability in your phone which will not be fixable for you unless you’re willing to spend a lot of time

I love Discreet Launcher because it let’s me quickly acces any of my apps with 1-3 quick movements, allows me to actually appreciate my wallpaper and does everything a launcher needs to (launch apps obviously)

It’s probably not for everyone though, I’m a Window Manager instead of full blown Desktop Environment kind of guy

Luckily we already have maaaany good games available to download. So even if all future games were only playable on some cloud I wouldn’t give a fuck

This + dvorak layout is amazing

I need root for some things like IsoDrive and Frida. Frida would be usable without root but it’s really cumbersome. Also AdBlocking and some LsPosed modules like CorePatch. WireGuard works better with root aswell because you can use the kernel module directly

I also hate being restricted by arbitrary locks, it’s my device so I wanna be able to do whatever I want with it

I’d highly recommend switching away from Miui. You can find custom roms here on xda

Why Miui sucks:

• Like you already noticed, their battery optimization is way to aggresive
• They’re invading your privacy everywhere possible
• Battery lifetime sucks royaly (Evolution X rom & Android 14 increased my battery endurance by about 140%! That’s insane)
• Stock apps have ads
• It heavily cripples performance (slow app loading times, etc)
• Some simple customisations are flat out impossible (for example, you can’t use any custom launcher without fully breaking gesture navigation, setting your lockscreen wallpaper only works with Miuis stock Gallery/Themes app)
