TrackerControl will let you block ads system wide. It’s kinda touchy and takes some finagling, though.

What sort of finagling are we talking? Also, I’ve been using AdAway for the past few weeks with mixed results. Could these tools be used in tandem or is that just silly?

I’m just sitting around playing Shattered Pixel Dungeon and, while id prefer something narrative driven, it’s been giving me the happies for quite a while.

Where I used to work, we had a massive digital library of android phones with confirmed exploits. They went up to quite recent phones and OS versions. The android team wasn’t particularly big because there wasn’t a major need for manpower to keep up. The iPhone team was highly specialized and had their work cut out for them. I wasn’t on either team (Windows and sort-of OS X) but I fell into their meetings and wikis quite often due to platform overlaps.

And the latest and greatest wasn’t necessarily what was getting attention anyway. Plenty of people worldwide use old phones

As someone with an android, and someone who worked in digital forensics, iPhones absolutely are more secure. It’s way harder to break into an iPhone.

You could dig around for a used pebble watch. Apparently they still work with modern phones

Try summit. I’m hopping between it and sync now. Thunder sometimes for the variations in feed but the comment issue persists and is an overall no-go

That’s interesting. All the sync stuff feels the same between sync, summit, and thunder. I guess ymmv
