Using samsungs android (oneUI). I can configure a sleep mode where the phone is in 'do not disturb '. I can make an exclusion for specific apps, such that notifications from those apps are still shown. But the notification from that all is still silent (visible). I want a sound such that it can wake me in the night.

Usecase: :my pet-camera sends me a notification is my pet is awake and moving about. I want that notification to wake me up, from my sleep.

Samsung had something called routines (mini tasker I guess). Maybe i can build something, but it’s seems too complicated for my usecase?

Hippie somebody knows

If you have notification sounds on for that app, and have your ringer or notification volume turned up, the noise should come through while you’re in do not disturb mode.

Do not disturb just mutes things not whitelisted, and uses the normal setting for things that are whitelisted. If they were already muted it doesn’t un-mute them just because you whitelisted them.

Thx… I think I got it. I use “sleep mode” sleep mode turns on DND and also mutes the phone. So I need to remove the muting.

Srry and thanks

Thx see my other reply. The problem was “sleep mode” adding mute ontop of DND.

I’d like similar advice, as my oneplus keeps failing to notify me of fire calls (I’m a firefighter) when I’m asleep.

Also, OP, try an app called “buzzkill” which allows you to customise settings when notifications come through… Worked for me on other phonss
