NVIDIA released driver version 580.82.09 which is the new recommended driver, although it only has a single fix but an important one for some users.
Updated the driver to fall back to 8 BPC when 10 BPC output is not supported for a particular mode. This prevents some HDMI displays from showing a black screen.
Oh great. That’s my exact issue right now. Except it just started happening even moreso with both my hdmi monitor and my display port monitor and it will stop the whole display from showing, even with an unplug. I have to hard restart

If this doesn’t work, try ctl + alt f2 follow-up with ctl alt f1.
It should switch to single user login, and then back, with a display.
