But innovation means number must go up. In this case more range and more low energy throughput

I’d say both of those things are pretty important and pretty cool

I just want an option to not automatically connect to a known device.

I rarely have had good experiences with Bluetooth.

I do not even know which version of Bluetooth I have, but the version numbers are confusing enough that I don’t know which version has which features.

Maybe that’s my fault, but when I see tech advertising the Bluetooth version and features, i just hope my device supports those features.

Anyway, I’m done with my rant.

I used to too, but that was in like 2009. Last 5 years or so it has been perfect for me

They’ll never get it right. Bluetooth is fundamentally bandwidth limited, new protocols can be a little more efficient, but that doesn’t change the fact that there’s just not enough data flowing for it to sound good.

My earbuds have cables, so they can’t get any better.

Same, I have both and you know damn well which ones stay in their case.

Bluetooth works great when it decides to actually work. Such a cumbersome technology

Are you still using BT 4 stuff? Since 5 became commonplace I haven’t had a single issue.

My only gripe is that my phone will automatically connect to known devices and there’s no way to stop that other than forgetting the device.

Hell If I know. I have a lot of older Bluetooth devices that I love and it seems like I’m always having connection issues. Some manufacturers are better than others.

They won’t, we’ll just pay more
