Rubert Easterbrook, a founder of EA UK and producer of Star Citizen, has surprisingly died after decades of making games.

While I am saddened by the loss of him, can I point out that its the second of the month, and using the term “he passed away earlier this month” just means the 1st. I am not sure if this was to pad out the word count or some kind of AI rewrite, I mean the pointing out that he worked for EA Sega and Star Citizen like 6 times points to the later.

25th or 26th October seems likely to me based on the first announcement (Twitter link).
