‘We have decided to stop direct investment in the Next Unit of Compute (NUC) Business and pivot our strategy to enable our ecosystem partners to continue NUC innovation and growth. This decision will not impact the remainder of Intel’s Client Computing Group (CCG) or Network and Edge Computing (NEX) businesses. Furthermore, we are working with our partners and customers to ensure a smooth transition and fulfillment of all our current commitments.’

There are piles of more affordable options on the market now in this or close to this size.

There was nothing like the NUC when it first came out.

Unbelievable, NUCs were perfect for emulation boxes.

It’s not like there will not be Intel Mini PC anymore; just not directly manufactured by Intel.

Third parties squeezed Intel out of the market lol

Probably for the best as the availability was shocking anyway. Hopefully the 3rd partys can do better.

Too bad, these were great little boxes for a tiny home server.

Hopefully we’ll see some AMD-flavored version of these…
