Apparently, the user whose PC order was canceled by Corsair without any “sensible” reason wasn’t an isolated case, as Corsair has confirmed that it also canceled DDR5 RAM orders placed on January 1. After the report on the Corsair PC order cancellation went viral, Corsair’s official X handle announced the reason for the cancellation. It’s a mistake, they refunded the money. False advertising suggests that someone is selling something that is not what it appears. The person didn’t get ripped off, they have their money back and they are whole. Sure I would be annoyed about it if it happened to me, but it’s not a scam or a bait and switch.
